Rooney's took great care of us during our stay - from the airport pickup, to the english speaking staff that patiently helped us with all our travel and site seeing arrangements, to the fresh breakfast cooked to order - we had a very enjoyable time in Buenos Aires. The hotel itself is divine - very charming and tastefully decorated with all the mod cons such as wifi and aircon. The location is very handy - centrally located and enables one to walk to many places of interest and nearby milonga bars and restaurantes. Highly recommend Rooney's - especially to travellers that look for something different and try and avoid the big chain hotels.

its easy to miss the hotel entrance because it is shared with residential apartments, use the intercom to get 'buzzed' in and out.
It is a very heavy front door and there are some steps and an internal doorway before you reach the small elevator/lift, so be prepared if you have heavy luggage! BUT persevere, as this 3rd floor hotel is lovely!

The compact space for the reception and lobby areas is beautifully decorated to highlight the character and architecture of the building, My room was clean with a tiny shower room and very comfortable bed.

the hotel's central location means a lot of traffic noise, all day and night but this is inevitable in central BA - ALWAYS take earplugs!

the staff were friendly and helpful and the early evening free tango lesson is a lovely introduction for beginners.
breakfast is good quality with eggs/ommlette options and selection of fruits/pastries drinks etc.

Visiting Buenos Aires for the first time, wanted a small hotel in the centre of Buenos Aires. Not disappointed. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, probably the best during our whole visit to South America. For the price it was good value, clean, good service and good food. A bit noisy at the weekend due to you being in the centre of the action but this is a great city to visit with fantastic steaks and malbec wine. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Buenos Aires for the first time. The hotel arranged the taxi from the airport to the hotel which was very helpful.

My wife and I took our first break for 10 years in November and after looking on line choose Rooneys.
Although check in is officially 3pm, we got our room at 09.30 am after a great cup of coffee and cake after we arrived. Front desk was great, arranging day trips, tips on what to see and great authentic eating reccomendations.
The free tango lesson was a kick (even though I dont like dancing) my wife loved it.
The morning of a trip to Uruguay a breakfast was prepared even though it was before the official time for breakfast.
Rooms were good area good and alive you got the feeling you were in a live city.
Only small negative point was I had to book through a booking site because their web site would not accept my credit card and because of that the airport hotel transfer was nnot free.
Overall would fully reccomend.
