Small hotel, conveniently located half a block from Calle Florida, walking distance to many historical sites and to the subway. Clean and comfortable rooms, impecable bathrooms with toilettries. Very generous breakfast. Had a problem with the air conditioning and the maintenance guy fixed it within 10 minutes. I definitely recommend it.

Best things about this hotel are its very good central location, good breakfast, helpful staff (especially the very nice doorman), comfy bed and good hot shower.
Downside is poor maintenance and cleaning eg completely unusable jacuzzi full of dirt and algae, TVs with loose wiring connections and rooms with bins unemptied where cleanliness left a little to be desired (although tolerable, unless you are very fussy).

The rooms are small and some are quite dark. In our, superior, room the washbasin was so close to the toilet bowl you could rest your head on it whilst sitting. Would be an issue for anyone elderly. You are also not supposed to put paper down the toilet - bit of a surpise in a major capital city. This is not so much an issue if you do not mind using the bidet which worked well. The shower was strong and controls worked well. Our friends had an issue with the TV cutting out during our 4 day stay due to iffy wiring.

This review is coming across quite negative but actually if you are not too fussy about things then you can sleep, wash and breakfast here quite adequately for a reasonable price in a location that is ideal for the main central sights including Rua Florida, Cas Rosada, Teatro Colon, ST Telmo etc etc.

We spent a little time scouring through options for our three-night stay in BA, and were reasonably confident on choosing this hotel but we were still genuinely surprised about how ideal it was. Great value for money, great breakfast, great location. We loved it. We could walk everywhere and the staff were really helpful. We had a smashing time here.

The place is right in the centre of Buenos Aires. If there are protests in town (often there are) you will hear some noise during the day but other than that, the place is very convenient, not cheap, but not outrageously expensive. room size varies. once i got a medium sized room with a huge bed. the rooms are very clean, staff is pretty helpful. breakfast is very good: a real one: scrambled eggs, bacon, salami, cheese, jams, juices of all kinds, different types of breads, croissants, cereals, pastries. everything is served buffet style. breakfast is usually included in the room rate. last time i was there, april 2010, i think, wi-fi was only available on the ground floor(and there are also two fixed computers near the breakfast room) but i think they were changing the connection and make it available for the whole hotel.
