“Terrible- booked 3 of the 4 rooms 9 months ago..cancel on us 2 weeks before visit!”

We booked the hotel for 3 rooms for 4 nights, 9 months ago for a visit this weekend.
two weeks ago they tell us they are shutting up for april as its been a "busy season" so our booking had been cancelled. This is absolute disgraceful in my book. Days before i was organising a airport transfer with staff.

Had heard such great things from friends who have stayed and had even visited on my last trip as there was no vacancies then. I will be dropping past to see if we haven't just been bumped for others... whatever the reason, to do it at the 11th hours is poor.

They didn't even have the decency for the manager to contact us, or offer to find us alternate accommodation. We then spent over a week frantically trying to find somewhere with vacancies in palermo and further. Tried 30 places. We have ended up having to grab what we eventually could find.

Stayed April 2011, travelled with family

“Cozy and charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

Adorable Boutique hotel on a quiet street in Palermo soho. The decor is lovely and made us feel like we were staying in the home of an argentine family. Rooms are small but very comfortable, high quality sheets and great bed. Bathrooms are large and ours had a great shower. Service was attentive. The front desk was staffed by a changing roster of cute 20something argentine students. Overall a very good experience and we would recommend.
Being from new York city, buenos aires' soho was a lot more quiet than we were expecting. There are lots of great restaurants around but definitely not a lively scene.

“The place where you immediately fall in love with...”

... is the Costa Petit in Buenos Aires. Located in Palermo with some of the best restaurants only a minute walk away. Only 4 rooms stacked around a little courtyard with a liitle pool guaranteing perfect quietness. Perfectly nice Staff at the front desk. Sensational and unique style overall, decorated by someone who really knows what he's doing – unlike some of the other 'boutique hotel' around. If you can afford the room, and more important if you get one of the 4 rooms, take it and enjoy it.

“Intimate hotel with amazing staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2010

My husband and I are from NYC and in our mid-thirties. We picked Costa Petit because it looked like it had some character and charm and not much of a scene. It is a very discreet place and really nicely decorated.

The best part of Costa Petit is Ezekial and the girl (sorry, I can't remember her name!) they were so helpful. They were so willing to go out of their way for us several times ( and did not make me feel stupid when I forgot the number to our safe and they had to come unlock it).

There's no internet for guests, but Ezekial looked up ferry times to Uruguay for us and called places about tickets. When that didn't pan out they suggested going to an estancia , found one, made reservations and found us the right bus to take. It was so helpful.

One night we were too tired to go out to eat, so my husband asked Ezekial if we could order pizza. He suggested his favorite place and made the order and then brought the pizza to our room. So nice!

Another night we got the same pizza and ate it in the lobby/eating area and they did not care. They just sat there and talked to us. It felt very comfortable.

It's very low-key and quiet there. The service is very personal and real.

The only problem we had was paying. Somehow their credit card machine did not work and my husband had to end up paying by money order like three months later. They discounted the room but it was still a hassle.
