We had booked Marta's B&B well in advance thanks to some good reviews on this site, and we were not disappointed. The B&B is well disguised from the street. Make sure you pronounce the 'll' as 'ch' (Mansicha) if taking a taxi.
We were immediately made to feel at home by the family, and the room was comfortable and quite adequate for our needs. Nights are very quiet and safe but Marta prefers guests not to have an outside key, which means that she herself gets up during the night to let you in if you are out late!
Breakfast is copious and varied - one of the best we ate in the country, in fact. And as all the guests sit around a large table, you can have some interesting and useful discussions with travellers who may have spent longer in the country than you - and gain many useful hints about what to do and see.
Marta is a tremendous hostess - she will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable and we are very grateful for everything she did for us. We actually stayed here 3 times (3 - 4 days on each occasion) during our 6 week travels around the country (you almost always have to return to Buenos Aires if you are travelling north to south).
The B&B is extremely well situated, close to the buses and subway (just ask Marta where you want to go and she will give you the bus number), in what we considered to be a very safe part of the capital - we were able to walk everywhere without worry. There are plenty of decent restaurants around and good shops/supermarkets close by.
Marta will also organise taxis either to take you to the airports or to different parts of the city. It is possible to walk to many other areas too. You aren't far from old Palermo which is worth visiting on Saturdays when there is an arts and crafts market.
An excellent address whcih we would recommend without hesitation.
Many thanks for a wonderful stay, Marta.
