Stayed here for a week in January 2011 in a 4-bed dorm.
Good things: dorms are small (4 beds each) and are cheerful and clean. Mattresses comfy, beds made every day, lots of storage. Nice old house. Very central location. Staff are polite and available but nothing extraordinary. Nice patio and small bar on the roof. Most rooms including dorms have aircon, only works during the night.
Bad things: Shared female bathrooms were not exactly dirty, but not super clean. Breakfast was so-so - the water for tea was never hot and the "juice" was Tang. The internet connection in the house computer never worked once during the whole week. Overall it just felt a bit too full and noisy - it can house a LOT of guests, probably a good 80 or so, if not more, and the common area is situated on the main floor of the atrium area so the sound travels all over, to every single room. It has a party hostel atmosphere which I wasn't exactly looking for. Kind of impersonal feel to it. Won't stay here again.
