I stayed here as part of an Intrepid Tour.

LOCATION was quite central, walking distance to many attractions including the city tour bus, pink palace, and the Colon theatre. Beware of the "IRISH PUB" located across the road! It is not an Irish pub. As soon as you walk in, scantilly clad women (not attractive at all, btw) cling to you trying to chat, and order drinks, expecting you to pay.

HOTEL: The small modest but somewhat minimalist looking reception and foyer area creates an expectation that perhaps the rooms would be modest but clean and modern. However, once you walk into the rooms, you'll be disappointed. Furniture, curtains and carpets look dirty, bathroom is of poor quality, water temperature difficult to adjust, leaking, rusty pipes... this is a very low quality hotel.

There is wifi in the public areas only.

VERDICT: Whilst the location is convenient, the room is a disappointment. Unless there is a refurbishment, I see no reason to stay there again, even at a budget.

Rooms are run down and not the cleanest. Air conditioning didn't work. Water overflowed from the shower and went everywhere. Breakfast was basic.

Stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour. I have stayed in much worse places, but would not have stayed here out of my own choice. Other hotels offer much better value elsewhere in the city. Intrepid must get the rooms for peanuts.

Is this the nicest hotel ever? No. Is it decent with a great location? Yes.
Perfect for a cheap place to stay when you don't plan on spending much time in the room.
Beyond that, find somewhere else.

I was on an Intrepid tour so they booked us here as a group. I had stayed at the Own Hollywood for two nights prior to coming here (which was amazing). The attendant at Tango acted as if we had just been arrested and were waiting were waiting to be processed at a police station. He ordered you to sit down with our luggage in the lobby (along with at least 10 other guests that seemed to have been waiting for an hour...some were sleeping on the couches). to be clear there was no reason to keep everyone waiting he just took his time handing out keys.I waitied for at least one hour. When my turn came I was told my room would not be reasy for several hours. when my room became available the key did not work. After returning to the room a couple of hours later to take a nap before my tour meeting I found repair equipment in my room. Being tired I ignored it and went to bed. Minutes later I got a knock, workers had returned to replace some parts in the AC. I tried to explain I wanted to take a nap. They left but then I got a call from reception saying they neeeded to complete the work at that time. Reception didnt care that I had paid for my room and wanted to simply use it. I went downstairs and complained but they are probably used to people being unhappy so the guy didnt even flinch. He even told me I said it was ok for them to do the work! The rooms are old and dirty. I would say if you really want to save money you can stay here as long as you don't mind being humiliated, treated like a convict and disrespected to the fullest extent. The location is close to tourist sites but also faces a brothel/"sports bar". The only reason they are in business is the fact that Intrepid books rooms here for the tours. (says something about Intrepid as well).
