“Good value.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 March 2011

Overall a good experience. The staff is helpful especially Leslie at the front desk. She is very professional and adorable. On the other hand Ana is definitely not up to standard, and messed up a Tango evening reservation without apologies. So stick with Leslie!
Rooms are small but clean, the AC often cut off, but for the price and location, it's a good value. Breakfast is more than adequate.

“Staff unhelpful and rooms small”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2011 via mobile

I had read the reviews but niavely hoped we could charm the reception staff - don't waste your time. Despite visiting 6 days early to request a room at the back, and then arriving at 11am on the day, check in (which we had to wait until 2pm for) was painfully slow (and receptionist stroppy) and we were told the only 2 double rooms they had were at the front.

Eventually we split up to gave rooms on different floors to find the rooms were tiny and in one instance, freezing cold due to central air con.

Breakfast was quite poor having to wait ablong time for items to be replenished. No evidence of waffles or pancakes...

Despite all of this we tried to book one room for 2 extra nights due to travel changes and were told the rooms were fully booked only to find rooms were for sale on expedia ....

Location ok apart from building opposite and a shortage of good restaurants within walking distance.

Check in is at 2pm, if the hotel is not occupied 100%, there is a possibility to let passengers into the room bfore the time scheduled with no additional charge. If you want a room located towards the rear façade of the building you must highlight this in your reservation form, your requirement will be taken into account with priority at the time of assignating the rooms.
Our heat and air conditionar are centralized, which enables rooms and public areas keep an ideal temperature.
Breakfast offers a variety of fruits, cereals, yogurts, juices, bakery and homemade pastries, ham, cheese and bread, besides a variety of hot dishes such as scrumbled eggs, sausage and omelettes made in the moment.

“Eaten Alive”

This hotel seemed very very good value for money for the first two nights that I stayed there, the room was clean, modern and comfortable despite being rather small, yet on the 3rd night I failed to get any sleep as I had LICE IN MY BED.

Both my partner and I were getting bitten severely by the lice which we could see in the bed. The hotel allowed us to change rooms which was a good start, though the next day after having to spend the last day of my trip looking for a doctor, the hotel wouldn't accept that the lice were from the hotel. Which I know for a fact they were.

I acknowledge the fact that lice can be found in some of the best hotels in the world, so I am not annoyed at this hotel for that, but they way in which they have dealt with repaying me for my medical expenses has been poor. I only asked for them to re emburse me about US$50, I didn't ask to have a refund of any of the nights, yet they have refused.

They claimed they would send me an email from the manager in relation to the money as I had to dash off to the airport, yet I have not recieved anything now 2 weeks later.

“Outstanding value for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2010

After reading mixed reviews, I made the reservations with some concern. The hotel is a great choice for the money. In my experience, front desk was attentive and helpful. Decoration is stylish and new, rooms are perfect in size, bed is very good. I strongly recommend this hotel, particularly for the money I paid. There are better options at aprox.double their rate. Location is downtown Bs.As, so convenient for business and leisure.

“don't bother”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 March 2010

oh well, where do I begin.... If complimentary means 5 USD a day to you, then you will enjoy the wi-fi. You may lose the service in the process though, but don't panic. AC will sure keep you awake all night, coupled with absolutely no day light in your room you'll have no idea what time it is. Bring your own alarm, it is a must, no clocks in the room of any kind.
Breakfast is a joke, watered down orange juice and toasts, no joy there either. You're better off heading down the street to buy some fresh croissant and coffee, thanks god you're in BA.
Rooms aren't small unlike some people mentioned here, they're more like closets, tough to tell their dimensions. There were 2 people and 2 suitcases in our case, we barely were able to move around. Bathroom trips at night were walks on a mine field, given abs no natural lightning as mentioned above.
Some humour for this review... The safe is located under the mirror on the floor level. In order to access it, we had to stretch on the floor, face down, feet pushing against the door, no kidding.
The unfortunate surroundings only add to the whole experience. The pedestrian Florida street is a mess. It should be avoided at any cost, unless you want ppl tossing flyers in your face, Vegas style.
I'd like to disclose that we're no hotel dwellers, we spend nights in but are out otherwise. It's pretty hard to make me mad about hotel stay, but this place managed it.
Finally, wanted to mention that BA is a fabulous place to be, don't ruin your trip by staying at places such as this one. It is not worth $60 a night and it surely is not a 3 star hotel. More like 1.5.

the wi-fi service has a fixed cost per day, in the event that the access code given for any reason not work either setting the machine or internet problems, the passenger can deliver the same to be receiving and immediately make the money back.
rochester concept hotel has 3 room categories, which differ in size and comfort, long as the availability permits, we give upgrade to our passengers without cost.
breakfast contains all ingredients described in our web site, hot and cold dishes, pancakes and waffles prepare at the time.
