We are not fussy people... we've traveled all over south america and have seen great places and modest accomodations and rarely do we ever turn up our noses... but c'mon...
Imagine a place where your room and the narrow hallways smell like sweaty men have spend the night rubbing themslves on the carpet...
Where the streets are deserted at night and to get to anywhere interesting takes AT LEAST a 20 minute walk...
Where polite requests for a change or rooms (assuming better were available) are worse than ignored, they are dismissed...
Where the fron doors to the hotel are locked at 10 PM, requiring a buzz inside...
Where the lobby furniture hasn't been updated in at least 3 decades...
Welcome to the Cuatro Reyes. Don't get me wrong, We LOVED Buenos Aires and had a FANTASTIC time.
But this place should be avoided at all costs until such a time as they renovate and provide you with decent, competitively priced accomodations.
Again, you'll be much better off at one of the samll hotels right downtown, or just about any of the hostels in San Telmo, Palermo, etc.
There's nothing to see here... stay away.
Sorry I didn't warn you earlier.
