Very pleased with this B&B. Safe, comfortable and clean; nice breakfast served til 11am; helpful, friendly staff; relaxing courtyard; comfortable bed; great location. Surrounded by countless choices of restaurants and bars.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Solar Soler. My only criticism--and this speaks highly of the B&B--is with the shower, which took a bit of time and finessing to get to a comfortable temperature (like most places). The B&B itself is a bit of a ways from the nearest metro station (10-15 minute walk), but it is in a lovely area with lots of nice shops and restaurants nearby.

Our room was clean and bright, overlooking the B&B's courtyard. It was quiet at night. The staff were friendly at all times. The common areas and the room were nicely decorated, and the place had personality (books, knick knacks, art...).

The breakfast was a sort of enhanced Continental: croissants, dulce de leche, a fruit salad with sliced fresh-fruit, yogurt, cereal, sliced meats and cheese, juice and coffee.

The staff really make the place wonderful. The young lady (Victoria), in particular, was most helpful and made our stay in Argentina a lot better than it might otherwise have been, assisting us in finding places to visit, eat, etc. She also went above and beyond to research and book buses and recommend places to stay for our excursion to San Ignacio and Iguazu. She was kind enough to let us store our big bags at the B&B for the two days we were in Iguazu. Ultimately, these things made our trip a lot easier, and with such worries taken care of, we got to see and do more without any additional hassle.

Notwithstanding the shower temperature difficulties, I'd recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Palermo for a reasonable price. Hopefully

This B&B (it's not a hotel) is located in a nice area, where you can easily reach a lot of good restaurants with good prices. The staff is also nice and helpful. But I expected more from the hostel itself, I think it's overpriced. At the first night they put us in a terrible room (triple), very old and ugly with a bad smell, and the heating was not working, we freezed the whole night 'cause there was only one blanket on the bed and another one very old with strange smell in the wardrobe. We were very tired but we couldn't sleep the whole night. When we finally could sleep we woke up with the light (very thin drapery) and with someone cleaning the yard. We expected a discount for this terrible room but it didn't happen, we paid the same USD 100+iva for it. The day after we asked to change the room and then we went to a better room upstairs (the one they'd promised to us). Even so we had a bad night 'cause we woke up at 3 am with our neighbour's non-stop alarm clock (yes, the walls are really thin).
Well, as a conclusion, I think the hotel itself doesn't worth the money you pay.....you can stay in much better hotels for the same price in other areas. The thing is that you pay for the nice area, Palermo Hollywood.

We spent a few days here, went travelling around Argentina and returned here for a few days. When we arrived back it felt like we had come home. The rooms and bathrooms are simple, tasteful, clean and comfortable We did have a room that faced the street but found the windows and airconditioning worked well to keep out the street noise. What made Solar Soler so pleasant was the staff: Victoria is such a lovely manager with excellent English. She gave us hints of where to visit, and helped with logisitics. The breakfast area adjoining the patio is a lovely oasis. The breakfasts are generous and always had fresh fruit and medialunas. The WiFi worked very well in the rooms. I would stay here again.
