Well, the hotel doesn't very bad, the problem was that we choice the truth Amerian Buenos Aires Park Hotel.The hotel menager put the guests on the other Amerian when the main Amerian is unavailable.The worst is that we only knew this fact one day to departure.So, when select hte Amerian Buenos Aires be sure that your reservation was done right . Ah, the another Amerian, the Amerian Congreso, the localization is very good, but just it.Room small, without kitchen at the hotel(if you need a simple sandwish, go to the corner and buy it).

This hotel came with a package tour and it has a good location, but the hotel rooms are old and the smell of old smoke permiated the carpet, bedding, etc. It was not dirty as in bugs or anything, but the old smoke smell made me feel dirty all day and night.

My wife and I stayed at the Amerian Congreso in early March 05. The rooms are comfortable and to american standard in size and amenities. Nice rooftop pool and breakfast area with good service. The lobby is small and without a lounge a real drawback for tourists. The hotel location is a negative - on a side street in the Congreso area of the city. This is not near any area that Tourists would frequent - need to use a cab to go just about everywhere. The area feels seedy at night although we did not have any problems. During the day we felt ok with plenty of non Tourist shopping.
