the hotel is located in the pedestrian street of Lavalle, crossing famous Calle Florida, probably as central as it can get. Shops and restaurants in very short walking distance. Busses and subway also very close. I had one of the "older" rooms due to the rate I booked, but everything was clean and in good order. Breakfast was nice and the staff at the reception, although not very cordial, very knowledgeable about how to get to places etc.

After booking this hotel, we arrived to find out they were overbooked and had rebooked us at a nearby "better" room and we were offered to walk there with all of our bags. The hotel they booked us into not only did not have a queen bed, they booked us for two single beds. Antiquated and poory maintained are only a couple of the phrases that make me say the hotel was a ripoff at 90 dollars. To topo it off the Grand King was charging us 65 more a night than they were paying and we actually overheard an employee telling another to ignore us!

Great hotel. Nice room, nice bathroom, beautiful, nice breakfast, but the staff are rude. Don't expect a good service regarding them.
The location is just perfect. It couldn't be better but the price is not so good.
I'd come back, for sure!

The front office staff was rude, indifferent and inefficient. They called me room twice when they were looking for another room, once in the middle of the night, once early in the morning. The rooms were dingy and smelly. The beds were tiny and uncomfortable.
The drained was stopped up. The lamp at the bedside didn't have a working bulb. There was no clock in the room. The Internet did not work. If you are interested in being in the heart of the Calle Florida shopping area, then the location is good, but there must be better hotels to stay in.
