This Hotel is in a very good place, you can make several walk routes and know very nice places, Recoleta, Retiro, Museums, and see very nice old buildings, Florida street, Corrientes and of course Puerto Madero, the hotel is nice, very clean and the rooms are very confortable but nothing special, well something special here in Buenos Aires is the free Internet, because normally in Bs As the internet service is not free.
The breakfast is poor, but in Bs As in normal. The Bar is very nice but never ask chage the TV channel, is not posible.
For a business trip is a good option.

The hotel is rated as 4 stars, bur honestly I thought it should be 3. When we arrived at 4p.m. there where dirty plates in front of the service elevator, and those stayed there until 9p.m when we called to complaint. There was only one blanket at the room for three people, and when we called to ask for more we where informed that the hotel did not have any more blankets for us. At breakfast the plates where dirty.
Also, the breakfast was really poor.
The staf was helpfull, but there was only one person there, so sometimes there was a big line to get information.

This was my 3rd trip to Buenos Aires and by far this was the best hotel (FYI...the worst? - OMG DO NOT STAY AT THE MARRIOTT!) The place was pretty modern, rooms very clean, with a nice bar down in the lobby. Service was good and a small Irish Pub across the street. The place is very close to Puerto Madero (when visiting BA you should go here), about a 5 minute cab ride costing about 3 bucks. Just a couple of down sides (but not many). The walls are a little thin, in the morning if you go down for just coffee at the restaurant with intention of returning a few hours later for the full complementary breakfast (I'm an early riser) you can't do it :( One time in and no more :( Also the streets in BA are littered with trash bags where at night it is common for people to tear them open and toss the raw garbage about looking for anything they want to salvage. This occurred right in front of the hotel every night but it's obviously not their fault. It is a city government problem. The hotel is also close to the Pacifica Galleria Shopping mall (5 minute walk).

The Amerian hotel was nice - generally clean, large, comfortable. The location was great. Breakfast was fairly good, and the staff was moderate at helping us in planning our daily activities. A plus is the presence of the three computers in the lobby, all of which are free and have access to the internet. However, we found that people often hogged up these computers and lingered, so keep that in mind. If you are looking to be in the lap of luxury, certainly look elsewhere. However, if you would like a nice, comfortable and clean stay at a decent price, I would recommend this place.
