“good location ; tired room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2009

I have been many times in this suites hotel, it is well
situated in Buenos Aires, two blocks from Santa Fe
Avenue, near downtown, nice block.
The price was very convenient, booked directly by phone, but the suite is very tired, the curtains old fashioned, the sheets awful, everything need to be
refreshed.
Too bad for a familiar place, good for new tourists,
also bad breakfast, even if the front desk people are
friendly.

“poor accomodation, not worth the price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2009

The hotel has a good, central location, and one feels safe in the area. The rooms are dismal, old, not clean. The air conditioner did not work and the room was too hot, and the windows did not open and the room had a humid smell. The swimming pool was shut down. The room had a small fridge, a microwave, two gas burners, a sink, plates, etc. - all of it old, none of which we used. Big problem was sleeping in the tiniest double bed seen in years, not easy for two adults used to a queen-sized bed. The hotel staff even when polite is not especially helpful. The breakfast, included in the price, was dismal: fake orange drink, average coffee and tea, a watery liquid yoghurt, decent pastries and bread, unimpressive scrambled eggs. Our request for more drinking water at breakfast was grudgingly fulfilled as it was 5 minutes past the ending time for breakfast. The internet worked fine and was included in the price. The price paid of $90 was simply excessive. Had it been $60 a night, it would have been a case of you get what you pay for -- though even at that price, I would not return here.

“Very old decor and not so clean”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2008

This hotel needs refrubishing badly ! the decor is from the 70s. Rooms were nicely sized however looked very dull. Breakafast was not grand either, the restaurant was small to cater for all the guests.

The only plus point of this hotel is its location.

“Great location, good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2007

We booked a one-bedroom apartment (junior suite) through Buenos Aires Habitat at the Suipacha Suites Hotel for one week in early March. The apartment is owned by an individual but receives all the services of the hotel (room service, daily maid service, concierge, etc.). My neice, booked an additional junior suite for herself through the hotel website. It was part of the regular hotel-owned accomodations. Both suites were comfortable, well-furnished, very clean and had wonderful beds and bedding. The baths and small kitchens were tiled and modern.

The location of the hotel between Florida Street and Reccoleta and one block off the main avenue was most convenient. There were three grocery stores within 1/2 block of the hotel. The desk staff spoke excellent English, were friendly, and helpful. The hotel restaurant had wonderful food at very low prices. My husband enjoyed his steak lunch as much as anything he ate in Buenos Aires.

The price of the junior suite booked through the hotel was $87.00 per night. Our apartment booked through Buenos Aires Habitat was $450.00 for the week. Our security deposit was efficiently refunded the day we left.

“Great Location, Great Price, Decent Rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 May 2005

We stayed for about a week in early May, 2005. It was recommended to us by an Argentine friend of a friend here in the U.S. I was a bit concerned because of the other feedback I had seen on this website, but still went there. I was pleasantly surpised that it was actually a nice little hotel for the price. The location was great - walking distance from Calle Florida, the Obelisco, the Casa Rosada, etc., and with a bit longer walk you can get to the Recoleta area (20 min.?). The room we had was clean and comfortable - although the bathroom was teensy. The room had a kitchenette. Try to get a room with a balcony like we did (we got a free upgrade!), which makes it nice for sitting out and having a glass of wine to wind down after sightseeing all day. We didn't have a noise problem at all, perhaps because we were on the 10th floor. But no noise from adjoining rooms. The included breakfast went until 11am, which is good for that occasional late morning start. They had pastries (media lunas and more), toast, dulce de leche, marmalade, eggs and bacon, fruit, yoghurt, and of course coffee, tea and juice. They even let us have breakfast the morning we arrived while we waited 1/2 hr for our room to be ready. They let us into it at 11am, even though check-in is at noon. And their front desk was very helpful. Also, there is a computer in the lobby so you can go online if you wish.
