“Great place for proximity to domestic airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2011

I only stayed here for one night - I flew into EZE airport (international one) and took a taxi to stay at the Microtel hotel so I could take another domestic flight early the next morning from AEP airport. It was a perfect place since I didn't have time to explore Buenos Aires. I wouldn't recommend it if you were spending time in BA, but for an overnight, it's great value and incredibly close to the AEP airport so you don't have to worry about an expensive taxi or traffic. Breafkast was very good, too!

“great value, not far from the center of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2010

A fraction of the price of center-city hotels, and only a $5 cab ride away from downtown. Breakfast is tasty, rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and friendly.

“Like a Howard Johnson, but worse”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010 via mobile

This little hotel is terrible. I cannot understand why it has the rating it has in tripadvisor. Sure it is close to Aeroparque, Buenos Airesdomestic airport. But that may be its only plus side. The rooms are tiny and stuffy (can't open the window). They are noisy (can hear the neighbor pee), and the staff is most unhelpful. I arrived around 11am on Saturday, after a grueling 16 hours flight from New York, and had to wait for 3 hours for a room to be ready, with a disgruntled front desk clerk. No offer of a coffee or any drink while I waited in the horrid little lobby or anything. Walking outside is dangerous as both side of the hotel are under construction and boarding a major road, so there are no people there. At night, it is really dicey. For a mere $50 more, one can have a room at the Hilton not too far. Will never set foot at Microtel ever again!

“Nice surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2010

We were a little leery of this hotel, based on some of the other reviews, but were so pleasantly surprised. At first we thought this hotel was close to the water, but after reading some reviews and checking google, we saw that it was in a sort of industrial/conference/expo type area. We almost cancelled because of that, thinking it would be noisy and ugly around there.
First of all, we get to the hotel late at night and were tired and hungry. We worried about finding a good place to eat nearby. As the taxi driver neared our hotel, we were relieved to see several nice places to eat just a block or two from the hotel, and were even more pleasantly surprised to find the hotel has its own restaurant. With excellent food! Our rooms were large and very comfortable, and even though you can occasionally hear a dull roar of an airplane, the noise is not intrusive at all and we didn't hear any planes during the night.
Pros of this hotel: rooms are large and very comfortable, restaurant on the premises, VERY convenient to Newberry Airport, not too far from other attractions in Buenos Aires, more modern than most hotels in the area.
Cons of this hotel: the shower in our room leaked water all over the bathroom floor, even though we were so careful to keep the shower curtain inside. Our daughter had a different room and did not have that problem in her room. This is an "anywhere" hotel, nice and modern, but without the charm of the usual South American hotel.
For the convenience and comfort this hotel offers, we would, without a doubt, stay here again.

“Taken advantage off.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2009

This hotel was booked for me before leaving Australia due to the changes in aerolineos schedule.I had a one night stop over to accomadate the changes.I had prepaid $85 American for single accomadation.Arriving at the Hotel well after midnight I was informed I had an extra $100 American to pay which I assume was for taxes.Unable to speak Spanish and obviously I was not going anywhere else, I handed over my credit card.I spent approx 6 hours in the Hotel.
I observed there were not many guests at breakfast, so they were not short of rooms. This has left a bad impression on me even if it appears to be a 4 star Hotel.
