“Convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2011

I had 2 non-consecutive stays at the NH Latino, and the second time I wished I hadn't left for Montevideo between both of them, as my first room was bigger, nicer and overlooking the monolith. But anyway, I really can't complain, because both stays were fine. The rooms are comfortable enough, the staff is very nice and I enjoyed breakfast.

For dinner we chose different restaurants every night, because the best thing about the hotel is the location, right in downtown with shops, restaurants, theaters, etc, a few steps away, and even a convenience store just opposite the hotel.

I may come back to the NH Latino next time I'm in Buenos Aires.

“Central place to stay if you want to be in the city centre”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2011

Hotel is OK but would suggest to stay in Palermo - much nicer location.
But if only for one night it's OK. It very close to the obelisk. Not the greatest location to walk around at night but if taking a taxi you can easily get anywhere very easily. We actually stayed a whole week in Palermo and rented an appartment - great thing to do as the neighbourhood is nice - lots of restaurants, bars, etc

“Lua de Mel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2010

The Hotel is very well located, in the very center of the city, just 2 blocks from almost everywhere. You can walk to La Calle Florida, the monolith and many other touristic spots. The rooms are clean and the breakfest is very good. I recommend.

“Clean, Spacious, Friendly Staff, Centrally Located and Great Sleep Quality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2010

The NH latino satisfied all my needs. I am a light sleeper, and always have trouble sleeping at hotels, but not here; We were given a corner room on the 4th floor. The room were spacious, had nice wooden floors, minimal street noise; The price included a satisfying breakfast, free WI-Fi (weak room signal) and 2 lobby computers available for guests. They were offering great rates over the internet, but we didn't book online because their website wasn't an "https "(it was missing the "s" at the end and I wasnt sure it was secure). It is centrally locatedI down town, near the obelisco, and a few feet away from a subte station. I would definitely stay there again.

“Good hotel, bit dated though”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2010

I have stayed in this hotel twice now. It's a very good hotel, although a litte bit pricy if compared to the other hotels of the NH chain in BA. I guess it's because the Latino, unlike its cousins, is business oriented. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is a little coffee table and two chairs near the floor-to-ceiling windows where you can sit, rest and chat. There's also a working table. The floor is paved with wood, which makes the room cozy and acarus-free. The bathroom is good, there's a large table sink where you can spread your stuff. The towels are big and smooth, so are the sheets. The furniture is a bit outdated and the tv set is very old, I hope they have replaced it with a flat lcd one. The first time I stayed there, in 2007, the amenity kit available in the bathroom was far better than the ones they offered in 2009. The old ones included mini toothbrushes, mini toothpaste, disposable shavers, body lotion, swabs. The ones I found in 2009 included just soap and shampoo. The both times I've been there I found the hotel very quiet: in 2009 it was expected, as I traveled in the swine flu peak season in BA, but in 2007 I didn't understand why it was so empty. The breakfast buffet is very good. Again, it was better in 2007 than in 2009. There are delicacies, medialunas, yogurt, cereals and fruits and you can order omelettes. You can also pick a newspaper to read while you have your breakfast. The staff is attentive and friendly. The location is great, within walking distance to the Obelisk, the Colón Theater, the May Square and the Florida street. There are subway stations of three different lines in the vicinity: one of them is right in front of the hotel. There's a McDonalds and a Burger King restaurants in the area. The Confiteria Ideal is in the same street and there's a Havanna Cafe nearby. The electrical plugs are not adapted to the brazilian and american standards, bring your adapter. I really like this hotel, although it concerned me that some features got poorer from 2007 to 2009, hope they keep up the good work and refurbish the hotel
