the good...
The three people that I met at the reception were extremely kind and helpful, always looking after my needs. WiFi available all over the place with excellent signal strength and rather quick.

the not so good...
This is a small boutique hotel and as such it only has 8 rooms, 1 of which is for single use. However, this room has a 1,4 m bed that takes most of the rooms space and leaves some 40 cm around the bed and no place for luggage. Bathroom is comfortable, though. The place is at first very clean, but I needed a socket to plug my laptop and found it behind the fridge (not working), which was full of fuzz and some dead insects.
Breakfast covers the basics, and that's it. A constant that I found so far in the 10 or so hotels I stayed while in Bs As is the low quality of the "medialunas" (small Argentinean croissants, if you will). That's beyond me, and a pity, really.

Aura Suites is a charming little hotel. All the staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel at home. Some rooms are not modernized but somehow it adds to the charm as if you are in a different exotic world. The courtyard is absolutely my favorite. I have stayed there twice but I would go back again.

I had booked a single room but was upgrade to a larger room without that I asked. They just asked me if would like to have a larger room. This made my stay very pleasant. Thank you very much to the staff!! Very friendly staff. The location in Palermo is very good with a short walk to Bulness metro station. A short taxi ride and you find a lot of nice restaurants.

The single room that I had booked from the beginning was located half stair below ground floor and was very small. Not shown on the pictures. Breakfast was very small compared with European standards

The good bits to begin - very helpful staff, lovely building, great location and a really comfortable bed. Unfortunately there are a few bad bits! while we weren't expecting to be put in the rooms that are displayed on the website, we certainly weren't expecting to be put in the basement with very limited natural light, extremely limited space and none of the amenities you would expect. there was no safe, the fridge served more as a tv stand (this is where the tv was perched!) than an actual fridge as it wasn't working, and no wardrobe. the room was also situated at the bottom of the stairs from the kitchen with no dividing door which further made our room feel even less luxurious. It was just a little disappointing - i am a little jealous of all those reviewers who stayed in the "beautiful rooms" as the hotel really is a lovely lace to stay.
