In December 2011 we were in a group of 30 people visiting Argentina. We stayed in all 3 Design Suites properties and had inferior experiences in all of them. Our group had 16 rooms for 14 nights + as some people arrived early and others extended their stays. Without exception the staffs were not helpful and never did anything to show they appreciated our business. The rooms in BA are so small that if each of the 2 guests have a suitcase they will have trouble moving around. The last morning some of our group had an early departure before breakfast was being served and the staff refused to serve them expresso unless they paid!

I stayed one night at this hotel and that was one night too many. For a fairly pricey hotel that seems to market itself as being quite upmarket I really couldn't believe how bad it was.

On arrival I entered my room only to find that the bed quite clearly hadn't been changed. There were all sorts of hairs in and on the bed and it really was disgusting. I went back to reception to complain and the rather unhelpful staff agreed to give me another room. Thankfully that room did have a clean bed but the rest of the room was quite dirty and shabby - hairs in the bath, peanuts on the floor, general grime throughout. It was certainly not what I was expecting. The breakfast was very average and in the middle of the breakfast room there was a pool, for design reasons rather than for swimming. Needless to say the pool had all sorts of leaves and dirt floating in it.

There are so many nice hotels in Buenos Aires that I'd definitely advise anyone to give this one a miss.

I paid U$230.00 per night and I had one of the worst breakfast in my life.

I stayed in this hotel in November 2011. I was given a rate of three nights for price of two. The normal room rate was listed as well over USD 200. The hotel passes itself off as a "design" hotel. This is a joke. The lobby is a poor attempt at looking like a modern design hotel, with cheap furnishings. The room are worse. Everything is chintzy, cheap quality, with dirty laminate floors, a dirty 'chaise' chair, a lighting fixture hanging down with a hole where the chain meets the wall, and found hairs in the bed and a dirty bathroom. Clearly they had barely cleaned the room before I checked in. I called the same day and advised I would be checking out the next day (was lucky and found another great hotel with a room - Purobaires). The next day I was changed over $500 for one night's stay - over $300 for the room and a $150 "penalty fee" for an early check out. Don't stay in this dump!
