“Good for one night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012 via mobile

We were booked last minute into this hotel by our travel agency after our flight was cancelled. It's in a very central location and can be loud outside (we were lucky it was a 'slow' Sunday evening and being jetlagged they could have had vuvuzelas playing outside for all we cared at that point, we were just thankful to be out of the airport). we had dinner at 'Broccolinos' at the suggestion of the front desk who were very friendly and helpful. The fresh pasta there was great but the portions were huge so order appropriately. The room itself and decor were outdated and felt dirty but I think they just needed a facelift. For one night it was

“All you can expect for a 3* hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

We stayed here for just two nights after arriving in Argentina on a long flight. The hotel is well located in the centre of Buenos Aires, and although its on a pedestrianised shopping street, the taxi was able to drop us off just around the corner, just a few meters from the hotel entrance. There are two small lifts, so you wont have to carry your bags up the flights of stairs.

Most (if not all) bedrooms are at the rear of this rather old hotel, so it wasn’t too noisy. The rooms were clean and the shower worked, which is all that matters after a long flight. The breakfast wasn’t much, so I wouldn’t recommend this Hotel for Trip Advisors gourmet readers, but its certainly adequate as a Budget hotel in the city center. Its an easy walk to most of the city sights, but you'll need a Taxi for La Boca.

“Clean, nice workers, not noisy!”

The hotel is a little old. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My room had a big bed. The friobar has always good stuff. It had a security box. The bathrrom was always clean, and there was always hot water. I liked the breakfast (which was included). It had a variety of things.

About the location, let's say that I like it because it was in the center of Buenos Aires, but I didn't like it because I didn't feel safe walking around after 9pm.

“Mediocre”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2011

There´s nothing about the Regus that will get your pulse racing, either in anger or with joy. It´s oldish and its last refurbishment looks as if it was in the late ´80s (how else can they explain the beige carpeted walls in the old lift?) The room was on the dark side, but it seemed clean enough, while the bed was comfortable. There was little noise from within the hotel, despite its high ceilings and its age, while the blackout blinds and double glazing meant the sleep quality was reasonably good. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was cable TV and an acceptable buffet breakfast. The location is fairly central, only a short walk from some of the sights and a subte (metro) for trips further afield. The street outside had seen better days: the neighbours downstairs included a sex shop and some overpriced restaurants (watch out for the cover charge and always ask for an itemised bill), which I would never eat in again. All in all, for a place to sleep after a long day seeing the sights, it´s perfectly acceptable.

“Good value & excellent location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2011

We had an interior room so no noise, but far from lift (which did not have automatic opening doors) and no view. Bathroom/Toilet was clean but VERY small. Linen & towels clean & changed every day. Refrigerator/minibar/safe provided at no extra charge. Bottled water in minibar is cheaper than surrounding shops, breakfast simple but good (cornflakes, bread, croissants, fruit juice, tea/coffee, butter, jam). Friendly & helpful staff.
Location was its best point- 2 blocks to underground (LInes B & D) & Lavalle Station (Line C) just around the corner. Advise travellers to use underground - 1.10 (one point 1 pesos) per trip. Many tourist locations within walking distance, lots of restaurants nearby.
