This was a clean, friendly hotel in downtown Buenos Aires. I was only there overnight and it was good for that purpose. It was also very good value as hotels in Buenos Aires tend to be expensive (for Australians). The staff were very good and as helpful as they could be. There is nothing very exciting in the surrounding area of the hotel but I think it is a safe area to walk around. If you need a budget hotel for a few nights stay then this is a good one.

We have just returned from Buenos Aires, after staying 1 week.
I wouldn´t recommend this hotel because:
1.- We booked the hotel and confirmes it through despegar.com for US$ 993 for 2 double rooms for 7 nights. They changed the currency to EUROS 625 (including taxes). At checkout we were informed that we had to pay EUROS 778. Of course, all was in argentinian pesos, and if one does not convert it , it just passes.
2.- When we asked the lady at the checkout desk (who was not helpful at all), why the diffrence, she just stated "This is what you booked for, it is not our problem that you have another rate". She showed us a printed e-mail (I had too my printed e-mail) and the amounts were different. Both e-mails where from the date that we booked it (4th of february)
3.- She said that it was because of the exchange rate (but did not significantly vary in the week that we stayed). But it does not answer for around 20% difference.
4.- I had to ask her to contact me with the agency. She did it but not too pleased.
5.- We had no choice but to pay what they said, but with the feeling that there was some sort of trickery, because when I stated that I was going to complain to despegar.com and asked them if they could give me a copy of their e-mail with the other rate, she alleged that was confidencial information that could not be given.
6.- Additionaly, we asked for a taxi to take us to the airport , with all our luggage, and they called a small taxi, that didn´t have space for our bag (we were 4).
7.- The rooms are old, the electricity got cut off one night (only in the hotel, not in the area), the toilet door in my children´s rooms did not have a lock, they took one seat and left us just one, the toilet had leakeages, the magnetic cards to open the room doors had to be coded and recoded every single day, sometimes more than one a day, the internet access was poor , kept cutting off.
8.- They say that is an apart-hotel, but all it has is a microwave oven, 2 glasses, and a frigobar. No plates, no cups, no cuttlery, no kettle.
9.- The water power of the shower is good, and the location also, because it is in the center of the city, an walking or for a few pesos, you can get anywere. But they are lots of hotels in that area, cheaper, and they look better.

The hotel is a old but renewed. Is a small hotel very good localizated in downtown Buenos Aires. Is a very simply hotel but clean and very good if you want to visit the city during the day and will use the Hotel just to stay at end night and sleep. Is a very good and option to a tourist who wants to sleep well, in a simply clean room with good bed, air conditionating, cable TV and a very litle kitchen. Comparating to the others same level hotels comfort in Downtown Buenos Aires this hotel was very cheap. The price was US$ 66,00 at the site: http://www.bookinhotels.com/. Breakfeast included.

I was on a study abroad with my univeristy for 2 weeks in Buenos Aires and Iguazu. I felt that this hotel was worth the price of admission.

The staff was very friendly, and even helped us out to find the best bars and clubs for the nightlife.

The laundry serivce was cheap and fast.

The rooms were crisp and clean, and were cleaned daily.

They were doing some painting and such, and the hotel had a very nice feel to it.

The front desk staff were prompt and efficient.

The minibar was also very cheap and well stocked.

The only problem is that it is situated very close to the road, and you can hear the commute early in the morning. Though I didnt hear this a few of the nights because I had an upgrade to the 7th floor and a king sized bed.
