we stayed with a group from Australia. Appartments have 4 star rating evidently but are barely 2 star. Some renovation has been carried out but not the bathrooms. Baths had rust spots hand painted over, tiles were cracked and mouldy as were the shower curtains. Windows onto the front street did not seal so it felt like you were sleeping in the street. Even wet towels stuffed into the cracks did not stop the noise( the bus stop outside did not help). we asked to be changed to a non smoking room as the first one reaked of smoke , they did change us and assured us it was illegal to smoke in any room in Argentina.However they did provide an ashtray and matches beside every bed. The group had 8 rooms and they were all the same problems. Also no plates,glasses cuterlery or tea making facilty provide even though advertised as appartments.

This was a clean, friendly hotel in downtown Buenos Aires. I was only there overnight and it was good for that purpose. It was also very good value as hotels in Buenos Aires tend to be expensive (for Australians). The staff were very good and as helpful as they could be. There is nothing very exciting in the surrounding area of the hotel but I think it is a safe area to walk around. If you need a budget hotel for a few nights stay then this is a good one.
