Only stayed overnight but adequate rooms clean but needs refitting. Good buffett breakfast included. Would not recommend it for a longer stay

Small clean rooms, excellent service but don't let then do your laundry...very expensive. Good breakfast buffet and lots of hot water. Comfortable, nice, if a bit stodgy. stayed their twice on the trip and no regrets. The beds were acceptable for Argentine standards...hard.

Very friendly staff, twin rooms are ok but the double rooms are the ones to go for. Restaurant is average, rather walk 15min to Recoleta for nicer food.

From California, had traveled to Sao Paulo and had extra time so on to Buenos Aires. Was there for three days, in later part of April of 2010, (this is correct and not the Dec.) First time there. I'm surprised about the negative comments as I found the rooms large enough and comfortable, and was amazed that someone said they "could see people talking because of thin walls". WOW! I found the breakfast area small but adequate, and the staff actually very friendly. I guess it all depends on your attitude.
I'm sure the leather store in the lobby still there - got excellent prices and very good quality. You can bargain the price down and I also managed to get a better exchange rate from the owner that happened to be there. And lastly the rate I was charged I thought was just right. Also if taking the buses, make sure you have plenty of coins as there is a shortage and the bus drivers don't have enough to make change.
