Location of the hotel is ok, close to the subway and some shops and restaurants, right at the square. Staff at the front desk speaks English, and check inn and check out were fast. We booked through the website a room on a special promotion, which was only valid if the room was paid by creditcard directly. This didn't work, and the staff told is this was because they are not allowed to do the transaction without security code and this code couldn't be filled in at the website.
The hotel and the room were not what we're used to from Ibis hotels. The elevator was extremely slow and the room was pretty worn out. Mold in the bathroom, broken tiles, not perfectly clean, little bathroom amenities, no minibar, no coffee making facilities, and, as is always the case with Ibis (but no where else in any hotel we stayed in in South America) no free internet. However, the bed was comfortable, the airco worked very well, no street noise in the room and a lot of tv channels.
