This hotel is really showning it's age. It's centrally located, and withing easy walking distance of Recoleta Cemetery, where the tomb of Eva Peron is located, and the obelisk. There is a lot of street noise at night, and the rooms were in need of repair. At the time I was there, they were doing construction work, so maybe things have improved. One good thing is that breakfast was included in the price. The hotel is tolerable, but it really does need some work done.

Having stayed at other Days Inn hotels in the US I had very high expectations of having the opportunity to enjoy cheap yet good quality hotels within South America.

However, it did not happen. The hotel facilities, cleanliness and breakfast completely failed at meeting any hotel and catering trade standards. For instance, there was a pile of boxes full of crockery in the hotel restaurant, and one could tell it has been there for quite a while based only on the thick layer of dust. Not to mention the ripped, worn out bath towels and the unusual smell coming out of the pillows.

The staff was attentive, but there was no infrastructure for them to solve the problems I complained about.

Honestly, I would have searched for another hotel at the moment I arrived if I had the time (it might have not been worth it as I was on a very short trip). It truly has been an awful experience.

I used Days Inn because I stayed in these hotels many times when travelling in the US. This hotel was disgusting and utterly rouined my trip to Argentina. I didn't want t go back to my room at night. It was filthy. The mattress had a protective cover on it which was disgustingly filthy and stained with !! The bathroom was small and again filthy. It was so small you could hardly use the WC. I would rather sleep on the streets than stay at this hotel.

The hotel is great if you would not mind giving away a little confort in order to have cheap quality time in Bs As. Although rooms were indeed smaller than average hotel rooms, it succeeded very well on its task of being just a place to hit the sack and take a shower. My room was clean and so were my towels/sheets, replaced every day. There's a great café just across the street and a complete supermarket nearby. AC did not work, I however asked for an air fan ("ventilador", in english Ben-tee-lah-der) which was rapidly granted. What breakfast lacks in variety it has in quality, excelent media-lunas, great orange/pomelo juice and strong black coffee. Very importantly, perhaps the biggest advantage of all, the location is superb, having almost all interesting places to visit a nice walk away.

I say you should save the money you would waste by having a small fridge in your room (which you will probably not use) and buy tickets for a tango show.
