Firstly, the staff are the great! Really nice people, spoke English very well and were always happy to help.. The hotel was around a few min walk to the good restaurants and bars in Palermo which is the place to go out.. There is no restaurant on site but one practically opposite and loads within a couple minute walk.. Also there are local shops within a few minutes walk. Has a small gym upstairs, and relaxing area up on the top which is pretty cool.. It's refurbished really nicely and the place looks contemporary!
I recommend the Tango show they arrange and to book the bus tour online!
I advise to talk your own shower gel to South America as they usually only dish out bars of soap!
For the price this place was well worth it..

We stayed at Palermo Place twice in Jan 2012, at either end of a trip to Iguazu Falls (don't miss it!). Spacious, modern rooms. Extemely helpful staff -- one of the young ladies behind the front desk had lived and worked in El Calafate (our subsequent destination), and was nice enough to write up a page of restaurant and other recommendations for us. Free wifi in the rooms -- by no means standard in Buenos Aires hotels. We paid about U$S130 per night thanks to an internet special, a great bargain for this hotel.

As for the location, Palermo is my first choice in BA. Don't stay downtown near the Calle Florida, etc. Palermo is safer, prettier, and has more good restaurants than you can count.
(Try Miranda -- great food.) And it's close to the Aeroparque, and there's plenty of shopping in Palermo if that's your passion.

I stayed at the Palermo Place with a group of six and it was an awesome experience. The rooms were very modern (kitchenettes with marble and stainless steel appliances) and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is ideal, given most of the restaurants and bars people recommmend are located within walking distance. In addition, the staff is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and friendly. They even put us on a locals tango class which was one of my favorite nights there. It was cheap, and authentic and a really good time. Thank you Florencia and the rest of the Palermo Place staff!!!

Must admit I was a little skeptical of so many excellent reviews, but they are all true!! The service could not have been better. The staff always greeted us with a smile and made sure all our needs were met in a very friendly and warm manner. They helped us with taxis, tickets, food and even wrote a note to the pharmacist when I was ill. They were wonderful ambassadors for the hotel and Argentina! The room was cheerful and always very clean. The storage was well designed and the kitchenette came in handy. Loved the daily free water and wifi! Soon there will also be a very nice business center. The Palermo Hollywood area was full of interesting restaurants in walking distance including lot of vegetarian ones for my husband. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you TripAdvisor!
