“Welcoming, caring hospitality...the best you can find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This was my first trip to Argentina and staying at the Magnolia in Palermo was the best way to begin my visit to this marvellous country. I travel far and wide, and I can safely say that the owner and staff of this beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated boutique hotel extended the best hotel hospitality I have ever experienced anywhere! Maria, Maru, Natalia, Miguel and Facundo - you all made me feel so welcome and special. No matter the time of day or night, you were always willing to listen and to do your best to help or advise...and always with a smile! Thank you! In addition, the homemade breakfasts, made to order, with the owner's own jams and yoghurt and delicious fruit, were a real treat. Although this hotel is a bit pricey, if you can afford it, stay there - you won't regret it!

“Great service at a stylish hotel in an ideal location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Although in my travels in Argentina I have found some "boutique" hotels to be stylish, but without substance, Magnolia is really a cut above the rest. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The roof deck is a great place to have a glass of Malbec, while looking over the city. The hotel is also in a great neighborhood, just steps from the action in Palermo. Most of all though, Magnolia has great service. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and really do their best to make sure you have a great stay.

“The Best Boutique Hotel”

My wife and I capped off an Antarctic cruise with a 3 day stay at Magnolia. We could not have been more delighted. Wonderful ambiance, splendid breakfast (homemade yogurt tells you how special everything is), comfy room and bed, but best of all are the people who make Magnolia so very welcoming. Maria is so friendly and helpful, as well as her staff of Maria (a happy newlywed), Natalia, Miguel, and Florencia.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home, why we choose boutique hotels when possible. The rooftop is just the place to sip a drink at sunset. We had the privacy of an outdoor patio from our room. They arranged for our transportation, reserved a table at nearby Selon Canning (tango the way the locals do it), guided us to the best use of our time in BA, and were available around the clock. They did it all so effortlessly and professionally. The location is great for all the action in Palermo Soho.

We've traveled around and would rank Magnolia right at the top of boutique hotels. I felt so much at home I would enjoy welcoming any of my new friends to our home in the USA. Bravo Maria and team! I hope we can visit you again!

“Hotel Magnolia Buenos Aires”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

My friend, who was on business and I stayed at the Hotel Magnolia in the fall of 2010. The hotel was superb. Rooms were well appointed with hardwoods, antiques, private patio. Theroof patio has couches and pillows and a great view of the neighborhood. Its a lovely older building that has been tastfully renovated with art work, very good breakfasts, but above all excellent service. The staff at the hotel go above and beyond advising. They care for your welfare by making sure the taxi knows where you want to go, finding your cell phone and hanging on to it for 3 months till you can retrieve it! They even sent me a New years email card! Great people. I feel that Maria is now a friend.

Room Tip: Rooms on ground floor have private patio and are in the rear. However other rooms have a view of tho...

“Great Choice in Palermo Soho BA”

All the other reviews are correct -- this is a charming little gem of a hotel. i will focus on a few key things you should know. there is a great little restaurant on the Soler corner (turn left as you exit the front door) and a nice little gelato shop on the other corner (turn right as you exit). You will have to take a cab or metro to most places in town other than soho, so budget for it (time or money). There is a supermarket across the street and to the left where you can stock up on water or mate. The wi-fi is somewhat limited by the thick walls so let them know if its very important to you -- we stayed here twice and the back room on the first floor was a no wifi zone and only some parts of our room on the second floor had a signal. the hotel is lovely, book with confidence.
