We stayed here last year. The hotel was very clean, the price was good, and the food was excellent. Rooms were big and modern. Internet was a little slow.

First of all, travelers need to understand that this is NOT a resort hotel; it is a boutique hotel, so you will not be met by solicitous bellmen or be lounging next to a pool. The hotel is set in a nice neighborhood and a few blocks from the Recoleta Mall and cementery. The breakfast buffet is simple, but one can ask for say, a scrambled egg if desired. The cocierge are friendly and very helpful AND they take extra care to make sure that tourists are safe. Also, the boutique hotel atmosphere is very cozy and friendly and not crowded. The rooms aren't lavish nor large, but comfortable and clean.

The HJ boutique hotel recoleta is an awesome hotel. Great location, great service and nice clean rooms.

The staff even took note of an offhand comment on my checkout time and prepared breakfast to go for us.

We spent 10 weeks in South America and used Buenos Aires as a travel hub which meant three separate stays at HJ Recoleta.

The location is great, not far from the cemetary, and an easy 45 minutes walk into central BA. We stayed in a deluxe room which was modern and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the room was fresh and well-appointed.

The staff were absolutely amazing, and provided a really personalised service.

One of the things about South America is that flight times can be in the middle of the night. We had booked a room but due to some flight issues, we arrived about 7am after an all nighter from elsewhere on the continent and we weren't booked in until that evening. No problem for the people at HJ Recoleta. Gave us immediate access to the room and then let us sleep for 10 hours without the merest hint of extra fees for early check-in. Also, one time when we flew out, we had to leave at 2am. Again, no problem organising cars and they even rang and reminded the car service while we were blissfully sleeping, to make sure it would definitely arrive on time.

The hotel also provides a couple of free internet access PC's which were very handy and had good internet access speeds.

A real haven, especially if your spanish is only average.
