The HJ boutique hotel recoleta is an awesome hotel. Great location, great service and nice clean rooms.

The staff even took note of an offhand comment on my checkout time and prepared breakfast to go for us.

I would highly recommend thus hotel.

We spent 10 weeks in South America and used Buenos Aires as a travel hub which meant three separate stays at HJ Recoleta.

The location is great, not far from the cemetary, and an easy 45 minutes walk into central BA. We stayed in a deluxe room which was modern and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the room was fresh and well-appointed.

The staff were absolutely amazing, and provided a really personalised service.

One of the things about South America is that flight times can be in the middle of the night. We had booked a room but due to some flight issues, we arrived about 7am after an all nighter from elsewhere on the continent and we weren't booked in until that evening. No problem for the people at HJ Recoleta. Gave us immediate access to the room and then let us sleep for 10 hours without the merest hint of extra fees for early check-in. Also, one time when we flew out, we had to leave at 2am. Again, no problem organising cars and they even rang and reminded the car service while we were blissfully sleeping, to make sure it would definitely arrive on time.

The hotel also provides a couple of free internet access PC's which were very handy and had good internet access speeds.

A real haven, especially if your spanish is only average.

Stayed in Room 204 facing the swimming pool for three nights in Nov 2011. Had good sleep throughout, even though, there is a construction site next door. In the morning, I could hear distant drilling but not so much that it bothers me. Room is huge, clean with two queen beds, flat screen tv, FREE WIFI, bathtub and shower. Safe quiet street and within walking distance to nice restaurants esp. La Querencia, Recoleta cemetery etc., as long as you have a map but taking taxis are also cheap. Breakfast is ok and pretty standard. Airport transfer cost USD$50, organized by the hotel.

Maximillio is the best - always with a smile, helpful and friendly! Staff at reception speaks fluent English. Had issue checking out as hotel locked our traveling card when checked in (security bond), so had to use a different credit card. Didn't receive money back till one week later but staff were very helpful in resolving the issue.

Overall, very happy staying in this hotel and will definitely recommend! It was a good place to relax after all the hiking in Peru.

Stayed here for three nights on a recent first trip to Argentina. Hotel is in a good location - safe to walk around at night and restaurants nearby. Rooms very spacious, great bathroom and good breakfasts. Visited BA at end of a tour of Patagonia all organised for us by Imagine Latin America, which was great. Good hotel to relax in and enjoy after quite a bit of travelling around.
