Such a central location! A short walk to the RetiroTrain Station and the parks 2-3 blocks away. The apartment has a nice comfortable room with a modern touch. Close to a supermarket called "Disco" where we bought most of the things we need in the apartment. The "Gerente" named Diego was very helpful and very informative. He also loaned us a wine bottle opener and USA outlet type socket during our 4 nights stay. I agree with the other reviewer that Alberto is the "gem" of this place! He's very pleasant to converse with in English. A Philly, PA resident at one time. Do check out the restaurant Las Nazarenas mentioned by another reviewer. It's about 3 blocks away from this place. We didn't have time to try the hotel's gym, swimming pool, sauna and business room but it looks nice and clean. Overall, we had a nice experience staying at this place.

we had a great apartment here. close to supermarket and av florida for shopping. ok pool area with spa (pool was cold though and not as nice as the pictures make it look). one of the doorman was a legend - he spoke good english and recommended good places to go. check out a local restaurant Las Nazarenas for great steaks. did not feel unsafe at night but at times when walking back walked faster than we might normally! cheap self serve laundry in basement.

When I checked in after an overnight flight from Europe. I wanted to have a shower, but there was'nt even a small bar of soap or shampoo in the bathroom. It would have been nice to have at least some soap to wash ones hands. anyone checking in to this establishment should be well prepared before arrival.

This is mean't to be a self catering establishment with a fully equiped kitchen. There was no toaster, no bowls for cereal, so breakfast was a bit of a joke!
I wanted to iron the creases out of a shirt, but there was no ironing board!

There were two a/c units in the apartment, one of which did not work.

The Basavilbaso is located just off Av. Del Libertador. It is very noisy with traffic during the day and into the early hours. There is a small balcony without table or chairs. I now know!

We stayed for a week and enjoyed the spacious studio. It is close to Plaza San Martin where the city tour buses start from, the Subte & El Retiro train station. It is within easy walking distance to Recoleta & Puerto Madero.
