we were 4 adults staying in a room with 2 double beds and 1 single the room also has a small kiitchenete (with a mini-fridge, stove, sink and some crockery & cutlery).
After reading the mixed reviews I was a bit concerned that we might have made a mistake but we were pleasently surprised.
Positives;
in a very convenient location 1 block from the congresso and within walking distance of many attractions. taxi rides to most areas are 20-25 peso.
rooms are spacious
staff are very helpful and friendly. they kindly printed off our boarding passes and provided us with maps & advice.
it is extremely good value - we got a deal that worked out around £20 per person per night.
Negatives;
the biggest one is that the air condition is extremely loud so if you are a light sleeper it may be an issue.
though it is nice that breakfast is included, it mainly consists of pastires, deserts and cold meats. So buy the end of the 5 nights it got a bit boring particularly for vegetarians. also the plates they use are tiny!
the rooms are relatively simple/basic - nothing particularly fancy. the bathrooms are small.
We arrived around 11am to the hotel and they said our room was not ready so we had to wait for about an hour. because of this we dropped our bags off and walked to the corgresso and along av de mayo - so actually turned out to be good.
overall, this is a solid 3* establishment that gets 4/5 for its customer service and value
PS
the taxi from the international airport was 180 peso
after reading all the warnings about buenos aires and security. our experiance is that people are very friendly and helpful. just be aware of your surroundings and dont carry too much stuff.
