“Comfortable, modern and ideal location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

We had a perfect stay here for 3 nights. The breakfast was delicious, the rooftop terrace great to read books and have a wine before a late dinner and the room was perfect too (modern bathrooms, good beds). We stayed in room 203 which was very quiet. The drums that are mentioned in the previous review are not every night (only Sunday as far as we could tell) and it was actually really nice, we went outside to have a better look at the event! From our room you didn't hear anything which is very unusual for such a central location.
We highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our room -203 was perfect; quiet, clean and comfortable.

“good hotel but avoid room 201!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

This was a very nice hotel in San Telmo. It sits directly across from Plaza Dorrego and the antique shops in the area. The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous. They walked us up to our room and showed us around the hotel. The room was a loft with a great bed upstairs and a spacious downstairs area. Our room directly faced plaza dorego. Sometime around 11 pm a band started playing in the plaza and the music was so loud i didn't sleep at all. I left the hotel at 4 am to go to the airport and the band was still playing! Great hotel, nice location, but avoid room 201 like the plague!

Room Tip: avoid room 201

“Not so good....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

We choose this hotel based on past reviews and price since we travel with 2 older teenagers and normally book 2 rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful but they made a mistake with our reservation and at the end they gave us the 2 worsts rooms on the property 101 and 201, these rooms face the main square(Plaza Dorrego) in the San Telmo area and the noise is terrible, there is music (loud drums) every night and on the weekend it is just non stop music until the next morning, Do not take these rooms if you want to sleep at all, they have only 9 rooms in total so it is hard to change as they are always booked. The rooms are modern and clean but they need to improve certain things......, the area rugs have seen better days and need to be replaced, they are all stained and dirty, also their towels and bed sheets are very thin and the sheets were not dirty but they had stains, their blankets are also thin and looked like they haven't been washed. Room 101 has the air conditioning vent over the bed headboard so you will have cold air blowing into your face all night, can not be adjusted, so don't take this room!
The breakfast is good, for what you are paying, you get a fair share of choices. In general I would recommend this hotel for singles or couples if you are on a tight budget as the location is not bad, with many options for eating with in a walking distance, just make sure you request a room that does not face the street.

Room Tip: Do not choose rooms 101 or 201 or you'll regret it! Noise is terrible!

“The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

A really great place to stay with incredibly helpful staff. Maxi and Diego can organise anything you request and are extremely friendly and very likeable. Right on Plaza Dorrego and in the heart of San Telmho the vibe is awesome. The rooms are exactly what you need, and the roof top is a good place to chill out.

Thank you!
David

“Great location and good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

I stayed here for 3 nights after just arriving in BA. The location couldn't have been better, San Telmo is a beautiful area, cobble stone streets and full of restaurants, cafes and antique shops.

My room was a loft - a nice size but with a pretty steep staircase and no external windows. I stayed during the middle of the week while the hotel was relatively quiet with few guests and enjoyed it a lot. On the Friday night there was a lot of noise from the rooms next door at all hours so had to get out the earplugs (which, of course, can happen anywhere).

All in all this is a good value hotel in a perfect location.
