This was our first stop on our 3 week trip to Argentina.
First impressions were good, the room was spacious and in a great location, the air con worked well and decor was minimal, I guess what you would expect from a 'boutique' hotel.
The first strange thing was that we were asked to pay for a full night stay as soon as we checked in, a bit strange considering we hadn't even stepped in the room. We were asked if the price quoted (a whopping US$180 a night) included taxes. We said yes and paid the full bill.
However, before we were allowed to leave the hotel demand another US$130 as they claimed the rate didn't include 'local taxes' - they claimed that as w booked through Expedia they had to charge us, they claimed that if we had booked direct this wouldn't have applied - what a load of cr*p.
As this was our first hotel and our Spanish at this point was pretty pathetic we paid it and moved on.
Such a shame as the hotel itself was OK.
