If you like a boutique hotel that is clean, provides a simple breakfast and a convenient location, then you will be happy to find this little pleasant hideaway in San Telmo, one of the oldest districts in BA. The hotel staff are pleasant, internet is complimentary, electricity adaptors are available, breakfast is mostly a cold buffet with nice flaky croissants, and the rooms, though small, are clean, quiet and have a wealth of music channels. There is a large living space downstairs with magazines, TV, music and lots of seating for those who want to escape their small room.
Some people may find the location questionable, but the issue is homeless people who posed no alarm to us females from NYC who used caution. There is a daily artisan market in the Plaza two blocks away, great parillas and restaurants, ice cream shops and bars along Defensa street. In addition the 152 bus can take you all around town to museums, Palermo, Recoleta and La Boca all for 1.10 pesos and within 10 minutes! Puerto Madero, the newest waterfront neighborhood, is also a short 10 minute walk away. The subway is 10 blocks away along a busy road. If you are adventurous and easygoing, you will find Ribera Sur Hotel to be convenient and pleasant.
