We could not beat the value we got here anywhere else. Staff was super friendly, although spoke minimal English (if that's an issue). The rooms were large with kitchenettes and a tv and sitting area. Breakfast was great - always fresh bread, huevos con jamon, pastries, and fruit - and the coffee was delicious.
Location is in the heart of Congreso and easily walkable or transport-able to other neighborhoods. Lots of restaurants and the historic Cafe Tortoni also very closeby. This cozy hotel is definitely a find!

Great room, although I'm talking about the second one we got. We were in room 23 to start, and the sliding balcony door didn't lock. The staff were great, though, and moved us to room 12 the next night at no extra charge. Much nicer, an actual loft (like most of the rooms there, but not 23) so plenty of living space, full kitchen, quiet at night, right off Avenida de Nueva de Julio and within easy walking distance of Plaza de Mayo and Plaza de Congreso.

Unbelievable that people rate this hotel so good. We stayed here in april 2006, for 3 nights. We had two rooms. But we had seen all of the rooms. The rooms looked nice, but they were not comfortable. The breakfast was very small (sandwich, meat, cheese, orange juice and coffee), and when you are not on time, the sandwiches were finished.
There was (during the night!!!) a lot of noice from the road next to the hotel.
In the middle of the night they were nocking on our door to pay the room, although we already payed it. The guy (I think his name was Leander) couldn't even speak English, and was very rude to us.
When we checked out, they deduct it twice from my American Express !!!!! ( about 500 euro's !) We send them an email, but we never got a respons on it.
We have stayed in many hotels all over the world, but this was our worst experience ever ! To pay this much, for such a worse hotel. You better can stay nearby in Ibis, cheaper, better breakfast.

This was by far one of my best experiences ever in a hotel...From the outside you only see a simple italian construction with Evita's like balconies, but once you are inside your eyes and your mind will be completly relaxed. From the decorated indoors' patio to the eclectic rooms, everything was just perfect.

The owners treated us like if we were "old friends" and the service was really good.

It's hard to believe that you are only ONE BLOCK AWAY from 9 de Julio and Avenida de Mayo.
