This hostel is a huge place to meet very nice people.
The prices are average as of the ones in the area, but lower than the big hostels in the city.

I would definitely go back to this hostel. To me is basically about the service and the opportunity to meet other nice travellers. This place has them both,

Also they have a bar with a very nice open area. They have amaaaazing BBQ's for a good price and the private rooms as the one we stay at, were wide and comfortable. Maybe air conditioning would of be better for some. But for me it was perfect with the big fan as it makes the room ventilate and keeps a nice temperature.

Also a very safe hostel. Hot showers and good amount of toilets although my room had its own.

The only thing, is that the kitchen was a little small, so you would have to wait if more than 3 people are using it.

I recommend you basically for facilities, atmosphere and location.

- the art makes for a unique and interesting place to stay
- all the basic things are perfectly in order- clean, functioning, good facilities
- great staff
- good balance of being social without being overly so. People who stay here are from a variety of countries, backgrounds and age groups

Cons
- Location- i personally didn't like San telmo nearly as much as Palermo. There's not much happening around the hostel at night
- hot water was variable in some bathrooms- others were fine

had a lovely time in the art factory over xmas. the staff were so lovely and helpful, our room was a good size and cleaned daily. breakfast was good and location was perfect in san telmo district. it is quite pricey if you want your own private room but it was worth it over xmas and you felt completely safe and well looked after. i definitely recommend it!

I stayed here in September, and overall had a good experience. We had to switch rooms during our stay, and I ended up leaving an alarm clock in the room, when I went to ask if it had turned up in the room (less than a couple of hours) they haven't found anything. Asked a couple more times during my stay and it never turned up, kinda crappy because it's a shake a wake (alarm for the hearing impaired) it's hard to wake up when you can't hear the alarm!Should have been more careful but you kinda hope things like that will turn up. The staff was helpful though. The roof patio is pretty cool. I wouldn't pay extra for the room with a shower. I guess it was kinda loud but I can't hear at night so that stuff doesn't really bother me.
