“Wonderful!!”

If you want a relaxing holiday, away from the hustle and bustle, then The Cimentepe is for you. If discos and non-stop entertainment are your thing then forget it.. The Cimentepe is situated about a 25 min walk from Yalikavak. But for those who don't fancy that there's a dolmus which stops right outside on the hour and costs 1.50TL.. The appartments are spotlessly clean and though quite basic have most things you need. Lots of hot water, but beware it REALLY is hot so take care in the shower. The staff are the friendliest of people but not intrusive so if you want to be left alone that's fine. It's a real family business, right down to the grandparents dropping by each day for a cup of Turkish tea. The Cimentepe Restaurant is quite pricey but there are plenty of alternatives along the road into yalikavak ( mainly fish restaurants). The snack bar has a limited menu but all is cooked to order and great for lunch or if you want a quiet night in. The balconies are fairly spacious and if you're lucky enough to get a top one the view is fantastic. You can sit and watch the luxury yachts sailing towards Yali marina or the local fishing boats landing their catch at the fish restaurants..
So if you want a relaxing holiday, full of local flavour, then The Cimentepe is for you. We can't wait to book again next year.

p.s. If you don't like it too hot, avoid holidaying in August. Temps reached 46 this year and didn't dip below about 30 at night.. God bless air con !!!!

“Relaxing, peaceful & quiet”

Great location & views
Excellent large self catering apartments.
First floor has great view of the bay.
Staff all friendly, welcoming & helpful -good hosts
Some local mini markets but plenty of shops in the small town which is picturesque
Regular dolmus service (inexpensive) to town centre as it is a bit of walk (30 mins.) once the novelty wears off
Lovely pool area with sun loungers/parasols, the snack bar was very good and made good use of fruits etc. from the very nice gardens, don't rely on the small beach area in front ot the apartments but the pool is great or you can visit the town and use a bar/restaurant's beach area.

Have just returned fron these apartments. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 children ages 6 and 9 years. Spotlessly cleans apartments, grounds and pool. Wonderful Staff especially illmas and suliman ( apologies for spelling!!). Had fantastic Sea and pool view from our balcony. Other people on holiday at the same time were great and it was like been on holiday with friends you had known for years. good mixture of nationalities- british turkish and german families. The children all just played together. All the kids just shared all there pool toys. the staff were especially helpful when our son became ill on the last 3 days of the holiday. They phoned the doctor to check he was in and told him we were on our way, put us in a taxi and told the driver were to take us, sorted out the medication as ot needed reconstitutind ang the instructions were far beyond my basic turkish!! provided sick bowls and even took meals up to the room for whoever was babysitting my son when he was ill and made him toast when he could tolerate it! yalikavak itself is fab. didn't have a bad meal the whole time and especially liked Mustis, Mogul antik, Dedes and kosedes. Will definately return

“Pleasant location, clean with small pool”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2010

Staff pleasant and 2 bed appartment with pretty sea and pool views. The peninsular is a very attractive area to be based in. We got used to the on-going noise of dogs, cockerels, mosques and furniture bashing as few doors and drawers closed easily! Many flights arrive in the early hours of the morning which created some disturbances depending on the familie's sensitivity. Prices have in the area have risen steeply and so the self catering is a god send with the Thursday market selling exellent fruit and vegetables which was supplemented with cooked chickens and meat balls from the butcher in Yalikavak. There are 27 apparments and many had 4 or 5 in the 1 bed appartments so the pool could become very busy with no beds available. However many used the small harbour and jetty opposive the hotel for sunbathing and swimming in the sea. A relaxing stay but think could have had better value in an all inclusive hotel.

“Nice hotel, friendly staff but some complaints”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2010

Greeted by friendly staff who quickly became friends. Rooms were clean and basic, hard beds but no problems sleeping. Lots of animals running round freely, dogs, cats and even a chcken. One of the Kittens was very affectionate. Pool was clean and decent size, not really any probelms getting beds considering there was 10 of us. Pool bar was decent, very nice omelletes. Small beach opposite hotel and jetty leading into sea. A few nice restaurants nearby, Cimentepe restaurant is quite pricey but others nearby are reasonable offering fish, meat and pastas. Avoid a restaurant nearby called Cavasun, very rude staff, no english menu, slow service. One of the waiters spilt red wine down me with no apology and then tried to charge for the wine. Best restaurants are in the centre, this is about a 20-25 min walk along a very busy road or 5 mins on the bus which is very cheap. A few guests were very upset with the owner and his treatment of the animals. Not a bad hotel but not perfect either,
