“Perfection only gets better”

Our second stay at the Beyaz Yunus was even better than our last stay, which we didn't think possible as that was perfect.
This time we were in room 1 which has a lovely garden with shaded areas and private terrace on two levels giving you the option of full sun or cover,it also has a small pool on the lower level which was great for a cooling dip this was in full sun from aroun 11am.
Mustafa really makes this place special and the service you receive from him and his team is first class.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst at the team at the Beyaz made it very special for us decorating our table for dinner and our room with a beautiful floral display.
The cuisine is fantastic and we love the concept of the set menu as we have enjoyed dishes that we would never normally order off a menu, if there is a dish that you don't want they will happily make an alternative for you.
We hope to be back in 2012 to check out the sunset bar they are planning to build during the winter.

for a holiday of complete bliss, we cannot recommend mustafa, beyaz yunus and exclusive escapes enough. we are very fussy and love good service, atmosphere, location and food, and it more than ticked all those boxes, if this is what turkey offers all the time, we would go there every time. we stayed sept 2011. brian and melanie

Room Tip: we stayed in room 1 with the pool, which was fab, but by all accounts all rooms are lovely

“A beautiful hotel hidden in the hills with an exquisite cuisine.”

A beautiful hotel with an amazing location and breath taking sunsets. Our time in Olu Deniz at the Beyaz Yunus would count for nothing without the mention of Mustafa and his team of highly professional staff who are on call 24/7. We were made to feel welcome and very special from the moment we arrived until it was time to leave. The chef ensures an exquisite dining experience day after day of traditional turkish cuisine. The rooms are cleaned twice daily to impeccable standards. We had room 7 (the tower room) which has amazing views from every part of the suite (even the shower) through the floor to ceiling windows. You feel like you are returning to a hidden paradise after a day at the beach or from a trip when you enter the hotel through the blue doors located around the grounds. The beach is only a 2 minute walk down the private steps from the hotel at the quiet end of the beach - the centre of Olu Deniz is only a 10 minute walk down the road. Although Olu Deniz has lots of restuarants, bars and discos we never experienced any noise polution even though we left our windows fully folded back each evening so that we could fall to sleep listening to the soothing waves and wake up to the magnificent views each day.

Room Tip: We had room 7 (the tower room) which is at the top of the hotel and has amazing views. The pictures...

“The best”

We have just returned from our fourth visit to Beyaz Yunus and are already planning our return next year.

If you want a lot of entertainment and live music, then this is not the hotel for you (there are plenty of hotels offering this in Olu Deniz). If, however, you are looking for a chill-out holiday, with amazing comfort and service, superb food and an incredible setting, then we recommend Beyaz Yunus without any hesitation.

It’s a small hotel with massive rooms and private terraces. We always go for the Terrace Suite (Room 5). It has a larger terrace area than the other rooms and is really special, albeit for a small additional cost. Room 4 is also great, with just a marginally smaller terrace, but every room in the hotel is excellent. All rooms except the pool suite have their own (unheated) outdoor jacuzzi. A few minutes in there with a glass of wine provides the perfect end to a hot day of sunbathing! The pool suite is also wonderful but it’s quite shaded. With only 7 rooms, the main pool is never crowded, and we prefer to use this and have the benefit of a jacuzzi on the terrace.

The hotel is set on the rocks about 100 or more steps up from the quiet end of Olu Deniz beach. The views from all over the hotel are amazing. The infinity pool looks straight down over the beach and Mustafa, the Manager will happily float your drinks over to you on his specially adapted life belt! Try his homemade lemonade for a refreshing drink!

Mustafa is, quite simply, the nicest guy you could meet. Believe everything you read in the reviews. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him. He’s friendly without being over the top, and it’s like going back to see an old friend whenever we return to the hotel. His service is informal and never “in your face” but he’s always there when you want him. He never has a day off throughout the summer. The whole team behind him is great as well – they probably don’t get enough recognition. They are incredibly friendly and always smiling, despite their limited English.

Just one example of Mustafa’s kindness: I mentioned to him at about 7pm one evening that I needed some medical advice over a minor issue and asked if he could recommend a doctor who I could see the next day. Within 5 minutes we were in his car being driven to the local doctor (who was excellent). Mustafa stayed with us throughout and then took us to the chemist to collect a prescription. We were back at the hotel within 40 minutes. If only that service were available in the UK!

The property used to be one of the top restaurants in Turkey and was converted to a hotel a few years ago. Mustafa spent many years working at the restaurant, and so, as you would expect, the food in the hotel is superb. The menu is fixed because there are only 7 rooms, but you are given the menu a day in advance and if you want something changed, it’s never a problem. Saturday night is always a (very tasty) vegetarian meal so that it's acceptable to all new arrivals, after that the menu is meat and fish based but with the emphasis on sea food.

Lunches are good and selected from a menu of about a dozen options. The hotel only books on a half board arrangement but on the basis that the food is probably far better than most restaurants in Olu Deniz it’s not an issue. Wine though is very expensive - about £25 to £45 a bottle, and that’s for Turkish wine!

As other reviewers have indicated there is a little bit of noise from Olu Deniz at night but this always ends by about midnight so is not an issue. It can’t be heard inside the rooms. As a town, Olu is not the best advert for Turkey. It's very touristy with local supermarkets called "Tesko" and "Azda" but it's low rise and we've never found it particularly rowdy. It's more family rather than 18-30 orientated.

The scenery, sights and walks in the area are amazing and we would recommend hiring a car for a few days. Make sure you use a reputable hire company. Driving is easy so long as you keep your wits about you.

Mustafa, we look forward to seeing you next year!

Finally, the tour operator, Exclusive Escapes, also deserves a special mention. EE are a small Turkey specialist providing really personal service and have to be the best travel company we have ever used. We’ve travelled with them 9 times now and they have never let us down. Any minor issues arising have always been dealt with professionally. They have a superb web site and what you see is genuinely what you get.

Hotel and EE both highly recommended.

Room Tip: All rooms can be viewed on the Exclusive Escapes web site.

“Dreaming about going back!”

we stayed here in May this year, and loved every second! We thought long and hard about where to stay as we were getting married in Oludeniz, so wanted somewhere really special - it didn't disappoint! I won't repeat what everyone else has said, all the reviews here are very accurate. I would say that this hotel might not to appeal to everyone. It's tiny, and there is no hiding! Because we were getting married we had loads of friends staying in Oludeniz and we wanted to eat out with them some evenings. We needed to let the hotel know the day before, and we still felt guilty about it. We stayed for 2 weeks and we were disappointed that the food was the same the second week. Also because it is so small there aren't many facilities. There is only one bar, the pool bar, and often there was no staff. Once the meal is over in the evening, its bedtime because there is no where else to go! None of these things bothered us, but for some people this hotel might not appeal.
We had the most amazing time, and I would go back tomorrow given the chance.

Room Tip: Terrace room is amazing!
