“Nice chic hotel set in the Banana and Pomegrante Trees”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2010

This hotel was perfect for us as we stayed here for 8 days on the 1st September.

It was a lovely clean reception and a guy called Alex came to check us in and he was very pleasant and told you all you needed to know.

The rooms were clean but not to a high speck but the maid did come in everyday and changed the bed linen too. I room was airy and airconditioned with a TV and a Fridge.

The Pool was smallish but very cool and inviting just what you needed after a hot day in the sun.

Although there were alot of noise from its sister restaurant and bar Cousins next door and the hotel at the back we had a fairly reasonable amount of sleep.

The restauarant is covered in vine leaves and flowers and overlooking the pool or mountain and has great food and breakfast especially the turkish style breakfast.

The staff are very charming and its a hotel I would go back to again and again and again, just ask for Alex or Rodney or Jason or Anthony and they would be happy to help.

The Turkish are very friendly and willing to help.

Seriously thinking of going back next year. Just when its cooler though as it was very hot in its 40's nearly!

They even have a turkish bath in the hotel and its cheap too.

“A very friendly hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2010

The hotel is only a few years old, but needs general maintenace carried out to the rooms and swimming pool. The curtain pole in our room was attached to the wall with a piece of string. The shower cubicle was in need of a deep clean, mould on the sealant and grout. The tiles in the swimming are coming away, and cut foot on a loose tile. Hotel is described as a Boutique Hotel, but this is not the case.

Food in the restaurant is very good and all the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

This is my fourth time to the resort, would recommend it. Be careful if you are looking for jewellery as one particular jewellers (Serenity) are only too pleased to get you through the door, but the workmanship of the jewellery is not good, check your goods before you pay for them.

Good choice of restaurants in the resort, reasonable prices.

“Room for Improvement !!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2010

Whilst we enjoyed our time at Lycian Dreams things could have been alot better !!
The Welcome to the hotel should have been much more personal, a young man asked to see passport, stated we were there for 2 weeks & then said Pay Now !! Hardly informative in relation to hotel & resort & lacking the personal touch.
We were then shown to a first floor room !! when we had requested & paid for a self catering apartment, upon questioning this we were advised that the people in our apartment had decided to stay longer !!! Having protested things were eventually put right & after a few hours we were able to unpack in the apartment ( not a good start)
The location is ideal, just far enough away from the hussle & bussle of the center of the resort but easily within walking distance. The peace & quiet does make you feel you are removed from everyday life( by night there is a bar that overlooks the pool area which can become quite noisy & whilst the pool does look bigger in the photographs it did more than meet our needs.
The Apartment had ample air conditioning included which was very welcome & very effective, they are large & spacious & more than suitable for a family of 4. (Whilst the bathroom had a jacuzzi bath, this had obviously not been used in a while as turning it on resulted in stagnant water & dirt being dispersed-perhaps a service is required !!!) The showers whilst advertised a "Power Showers" are not ( I am in the trade & know)
The maid service was second to none, our rooms were always kept clean & tidy & nothing was too much trouble to probably one of the best maids we have ever had ( the children loved her)
We were with 2 other families who had stayed there on previous years who all said things had slipped, unkept gardens, dirt pool side area, broken umbrellas & sunbeds)
Each family said things had slipped & probably would not be back again, which is a shame.
The restaurant overlooking the pool/gardens was apparently under new management (same ownership as hotel) which we did not visit as the other guests did not as all got tired of being hassled each day by the restaurant staff whilst whilst trying to relax poolside. ( you expect it in the street but not in your own hotel)
The cafe bar the the front of the hotel was also excellent with all staff ( Sid & team etc etc) being very friendly, offering a great atmosphere to drink, relax & eat & making us all welcome, again, nothing too much trouble.Great Stuff
Kate was not there during our stay, which we would have liked to have known in advance as the kids were looking forward to meeting her, however that said Yusuf did a great job & again nothing was too much trouble.
Despite a few negative points, this is a lovely place which we all enjoyed greatly but it does raise the question if the owners have taken their finger off the pulse & with so much potential, attention to detail is paramount in such a location & some areas do need to be looked at.

“Great location/poor hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2010

Wouldn't stay at this hotel again, but would come back to Oluldeniz in a heartbeat.

Good qualties - Great location and easy walking distance to bars/restaurants.
Bad qualities - small overcrowded pool. Room was a bit dark and dingy. Surrounded by nightclubs and so found it noisy at night, room very overlooked( right next to the bar and reception) so didn't feel comfortable to just sit on the balcony and chill out. Staff a bit over-bearing at times.

“Great experience, Lovely staff and a warm friendly Enviroment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2009

Me, my family and family friends all returned to the Lycian dream in October for our 2nd year running. The weather was pretty bad with awful storms and heavy down pour. If the Kate and Yusuf could of stopped it i'm sure they would of, They were delightful and very helpful with everything. The staff were pleasant, polite, eager to please and always ready to help make our trip an enjoyable one. The Hotel room, Which we saw alot of, was very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely jet spa bath and the rooms were very large and cleaned daily. The pool area was lovely to sit around and the hotel is just a 2 min walk away from the Beach. The restaurant served very nice food and at a great price.
Overall my trip was very enjoyable and I cant wait to go again.
