I stayed at Pink Palace in May, the hotel is in a great location just a short walk away from Hisaronu. The dolmus (stops outside) will take you into Fethiye and Olu-deniz (both well worth a visit!)
The hotel has a friendly atmosphere and great staff who will do what they can to ensure you enjoy your visit. If you do have a problem, be respectful to the staff and talk to them about it nicely, it will go a long way! On the odd occasion when we had no hot water the staff on reception sorted it out for us, if we wanted extra blankets and towels we got them.
The rooms although basic have air-conditioning and were clean and adequate. It can get noisy around the reception area at night so ask for a room on the upper floors if you’re looking for peace and quiet.
I rarely go for an ‘all inclusive’ deal as I usually prefer the flexibility of eating out. However, at the price I paid, I could do both if I wanted to, that said the only time I did eat outside the hotel was on day trips. The quality and choice of food is good. Yes there is a lot of chicken on offer but this is cooked in a number of ways and there are alternatives available.
The all inclusive drinks are typically local spirits, wine and beer. Imported spirits are available although you will need to pay for these and the all inclusive finishes at 11pm. The bar will remain open after this for you to carry on drinking and although you will have to pay for drinks, the prices are very reasonable.
This was my first visit to Turkey, now I’m well and truly hooked and am looking forward to going back.
All in all, a great holiday, a great place, good value for the money and great people!
