We stayed at this hotel in august with 2 kids. I was not expecting much from this hotel as i had read all the reviews on tripadvisor prior to booking therefore was not surprised when we got there. Lets start with what i was disappointed with... The bed was very uncomfortable we had a triple room with a double and single bed . The matresses kept sliding off the base mattress and the pillows were very uncomfortable . The sheets were clean but old and tge furnityre was very old, we noticed though that they had plans in the foyer gor thw new hotel they are building as this hotel was hoing to be demolished.
The good ..... Rooms were cleaned daily, the dinners were nice, the hotel is very close to the beach and was very convenient as we did not spend a great deal of time at the hotel . The pools were nice and not crowded however i feel that all women that want to sit topless should not do this in the kids pool as its noy appropriate. Sit on the side of the adult pool and read ur book to the tourists who have nothing better to do. Overall it was a basic hotel which was fine for us as we dont spend alot of time in the hotel anyways.

Great room with a lovely little balcony overlooking the pool. The room was very very clean, sheets,towels etc changed every day. Cleaning standards very high. Couldnt fault the room at all and had a very comfortable stay.

Breakfast was standard turkish breakfast,bread,cooked meats,hard boiled eggs,honey,yoghurt (No covers on jam/honey, every morning flys and wasps floating in them..so never sampled!)

Pool areas was great, not too big or crowded. Could always get a lounger.

Downside..the staff...never in all my life have I stayed in a hotel were the staff are as rude,cheeky,and downright horrible!I was shocked beyond belief!

Having been to this hotel on three previous occasions we were expecting the same great service, help etc, unfortunately on this occasion we were dissapointed to discover that we had booked the last week of the hotel being open and it was to be demolished and a new one built fo rnext year, in it's self this wasn't a problem until they started demolishing it while we were still there!! It felt like we were an inconvenience and in the way, while sitting by the pool various items from the rooms were taken out and carried all round the pool and bar area, they ran out of beer and some soft drinks. We were to be picked up at midnight and when I asked if we could keep our room on was told "yeah for £20 quid" I wouldn't mind normally but there was no-one coming into our room and the hotel was closing anyway, I had no choice but to pay as otherwise we had to be out of our room by 12 midday. It's a shame but we won't be going back there again, we will find another hotel in Olu Deniz.

The Montebello Hotel is in an excellent position and for the first half of our stay all was well. However, the remaining 6 days were made a misery as demolition began without prior notice on the block directly opposite our room. It was not very nice. Not what anyone wants whilst on holiday. Very, very inconsiderate of the Management. We were woken up at 8.45 one morning and the workmen were still there when we returned at 6pm! I cannot understand why we were put there in the first place and believe me we are not moaners but we were not happy.

We found the Turkish people we met to be very helpful and friendly, really lovely. The resort pretty and the bus service brilliant.
