We have been coming to the gonul hotel for 7 years now and we love it!
The hotel staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and faultless. The hotel rooms are very clean and hygienic as well as the pool area and bar area, plus, there was no problem in getting any sunbeds or parasols. The rooms although fairly basic have everything you require considering the little time you spend in your room. Bayram- The Owner, cannot do enough for you and is willing to book sight seeing activities such as Boat Trips, Quad Biking and Jeep Safari's if you ask him and nothing is too much trouble.
There is a 5-10 min walk to the local town Hisaronu, which includes bars, restaurants, gift shops etc or you could get a 3mins dolmus ride or taxi to the resort of Oludeniz where there is a beach, shops and restaurants etc.
I completely disagree with the review ''We had issues'' as we feel apart of the charm of the Gonul is the fact that there isn't some money making daily activity to keep people 'hanging around'.
Overall we continue to thoroughly enjoy the Gonul experience year after year and would definitely reccomend it to anybody.

After staying at the Gonul many times previously and returning for a number of years, I can safetly say this year didnt dissapoint. Unlike many other surrounding hotels, the Gonul is somewhere that stays peaceful, welcoming and immaculate, year after year. The rooms are all of a considerable size, with beautiful views overlooking the mountains. Although basic, the rooms are kept permanently clean and tidy, with hot shower and air-con available. The Staff and owners have always been very welcoming and friendly, can literally not do enough for you (Including serving fresh fruit around the pool on afew occasions).

The hotel only having 16 rooms is a huge advantage, with a large pool and more than enough sunbeds, It can occasionally feel like having your own villa. The area it is situated in is perfect for staying slightly out of the busy center of Hisaronu, yet only a short 5 minute stroll to get to a large selection of restaurants and bars.

I strongly disagree with the adverse comments and couldnt fault the friendliness of the Gonul, We will definitely be returning in the future.

We have just got back from Turkey and stayed at the Gonul .Whilst we we could not fault the hotel for it's cleanliness ,the pool and the friendlyness of the hotel staff I did have issues
I did find the bed to be hard and uncomfortable. We took part in the barbecue night which cost £12.00 on the second nightof our stay .Although I had a good night I found the food to be poor and not worth the money and as a result spent very little money thereafter.

The hotel is about 10 -15 minutes from the centre of Hisonaru and can be a bit a trek especially in the heat .Both my wife and spent most of out time out eating in better restaurants and going to other places during the day to swim and sight see

I think the owner is missng a trick he does nothing really to keep the guests in the hotel .The display of his menus are poor so therefore not many people eat there .He charges for coffee at at breakfast .He could of possiby had the sport on while we were there and perhaps more people would of hung around to keep an eye on what was happening

Because we stopped spending money the owner hardly spoke to our us and as a result we hardly said goodbye to him

I would definitely not stay there again as there are better places for the money if you take in the charge of £50 for airconditioning for 2 weeks which we felt was necesssary and £15 for deposit box which we did not take up

the majority of our holidays are spent in 5* all inclusive , so we were a little hesitant about a 2* 16 room guest house. Firstly it's in a superb location away from the noise but near enough to walk into ovacik and hisaronu, a dolmus to the beach is abot 3mins . The scenery is stunning and there also is a slight breeze to keep temperatures down. Our only mistake is booking half board ,the hotel is not equipped for this so we did feel slightly peeved when only snacks were on offer, I feel this was holiday mates fault and not Byrom ,the owner . The beds were rather hard but not too bad , the whole place is immaculate ,no problem getting a sun bed and parasol.We would definately recommend the Gonel hotel for couples who want a quiet holiday but plenty to see and do if so required.Will return
