“Simply Stunning 5 Star resort”

We stayed as a family of 3, with our 12 year old daughter in August 2011, and met up with a decent sized group of friends, both with and without their kids, and this hotel suited us all.

We have never visited Turkey before, having being firm favourites of Crete for the last few years, and we like a really great hotel, with plenty to do.

The Susesi is simply stunning. Everything about the hotel, from the helpful team in reception to the great service at the pool bar, along with the great food and the amazing patisserie was simply stunning.

Only down side was the very poor entertainment for english guersts, this is firmly directed at the russian guests, however it meant the lovely bar area was always quiet!

We will be returning to Turkey as they really do have some fantastic all inclusive hotels

Room Tip: All appear to be quite decent, be sure to book sea view

“Fantastic”

Stayed from the 13-20 September 2011 and went with my extended family. On arrival we were upgraded to one of the Teras Grand Suites rather than two separate family rooms, which was great for all concerned. Very spacious, nice balcony (with stairs straight down to a pool) and nice rooms with mini bars and bathrooms in every bedroom.

The facilities were excellent, as was the food and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Downside was that what looked like the best waterslide wasn't open for the duration of my stay, hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere and the shuttle tractor is unreliable but the town centre is extremely pricey so probably not worth the visit. Also, I wouldn't bother with the restaurants that you have to pay 10 euros for as the food wasn't that much better than what was offered in the all inclusive.

If I didn't like going to different places every year, I would definitely stay here again and probably will one day.

This hotel just need a little facelift and it would be perfect. I am my friends nurse and need to be next door to her and the reception staff went out of there way to make sure this was possible . The staff really did there very best to make sure our holiday was a wonderful one and it was. We (two couples) have been to most of the five star hotels in Belek and this one had by far the best resturant s the food was amazing!!! Lots of choice and hot and tasteful.
Will defo go back xxx great staff and

“Five star luxury”

stayed at the Susesi september 2011, first impressions when arriving was "wow", booking in we where offered a free upgrade to a duplex room, great location, out of the patio doors, down a few steps and into the pool, where you could swim around the complex into the main pool areas. This is a vast hotel, stayed at the Baia Lara, Lara Beach previous year, this was a fantastic hotel also but the susesi is 4 times bigger..everything you need is here, Becks and Miller beer, really good quality cocktails, staff very friendly, food in the main restaurant was a bit of a bun-fight, second day there we was offered to take our evening meal in the Bistro, which was far,far better, no young children where allowed, we never had kids with us , so this was great..the whole place was fantastic, you could write pages of reviews for this hotel..well worth a visit..the only thing that marred it a bit, was the Russians and Mongolians, no manners at all, some very rude to staff, previous reviews have also highlighted this, never found this at the Baia Lara, but it was a much smaller place.

Room Tip: we where upgraded free, but would ask for a pool/sea views if poss.

“5 star facilities 2 star staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

After visiting last year with my parents and friend, and having a fantastic stay, I decided to return to familiar sourrundings this year with my parter for what was to be our first holiday together. I have to say I was hugely disappointed. We paid for a room upgrade when booking with Thomson in the UK. And when we got into our allocated room it was not what we had paid for. So before unpacking we went back to the reception where we were met by very uninterested staff that didnt seem to care at all. I was told that 'they didnt see this as an inconvience.' However the fact that I paid for something I was not getting I did. They then told me there was nothing that they could do now do about it as all rooms were full. And if I went to reception at 10 the next day I would be transferred which I was unhappy about as that meant me unpacking to repack to unpack all in 2 days, when we wanted to be in the sun!, but as I had little choice I reluctantly agreed. The next morning when I went back to reception I was advised that there was still no room available!!! The 2nd day into my 7 day break and would I mind waiting until tomorro. At this point I then asked for a refund as I had paid for something I didnt have however they advised they could not do this and I was told to take it up with Thomson. I waited for my rep later that day who did eventually manage to get us in the room we had paid for, but at the cost of many arguments. We also found it very difficult to get drinks as many waitors didn't speak English, and when they did take your drinks order you would often get something you didnt order. The staff was catered much more towards the russian/duetch guests, however when we did manage to get a drink, the selection was fantastic including many imported drinks such as becks beer, smirnoff vodka and absolute vodka.
We then mentioned this again to our rep, who just replied not many English guests come to this side of Turkey, and due to disrupt in Tunisia and Eygpt that is why the language barrier is stronger than the previous year, telling us that only 15% of the hotel is for English guests.
We did meet one very nice english family, who went home soon after we arrived. After that we kept ourself to ourself, and went up to our room early at night due to language barrier and not being able to get drinks.
On our return flight home, our seats were totally wet, so we asked to move and the staff were really good, as luckily the flight was only half full. I then asked for a satisfaction questionnaire that are normally handed out as standard, however I was told that unfortunately there was none for this flight, which makes me question how true are the customer ratings that are published? if some guests arent even given the questionnaire. I asked if there was any way of getting a questionnaire as I felt it was important that other potentional guests know what is going to await them, and I was told that no I wouldnt be able to fill one out.
Food is very standard as you would expect from an all inclusive hotel, and guests sit on your table even when you clearly leave stuff on it to mark it as reserved for example cardigans, handbags etc. Therefore the only option is to make sure that one of you is at the table at all times, which isnt ideal when in couples as it means you never eat a meal together. Also if you want a nice table you must be down at the restaurant within 15 minutes of opening, as people stay drinking at their tables by the water feature outside all night.
Although the facilities are outstanding and very clean, particular in the very stylish and modern rooms. I would not reccomend this to any English family, and would consider you to think twice before booking this hotel.
