“Another simply fantastic holiday at this great resort hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

As I live in Russia and am married to a Russian lady we travel to Turkey a lot and we have stayed at many resorts including the so called best resorts in turkey. Until we found Calista we then had no need to stay anywhere else. We have stayed there more than 10 times now and we also send relatives there it is perfect in pretty much every way, we just got back two days before after a two week stay and yet again magic! I was talking with abut there and he said "you know I keep looking for things that are wrong here but I find nothing" exactly right, great rooms, great staff, great food, fabulous grounds and an Italian restaurant to die for! I saw several reviews saying the hotel staff don't speak English which is not true, all the Russian staff speak good English, Turkish and English as far as I saw. One of the main things you notice when you visit more than once is that most of the staff never change they are happy and they always recognize regular visitors. A truly great resort and I would say don't waste your time looking at other places just book Calista and you will have a fantastic holiday, hassle free just good quality and relaxing, exactly what you want!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view and you will probably get it

This fall, my husband and I were in kalista. The rooms are nice, but no-animation, the staff does not understand either Russian or German. 5 words anglish are learned and that is.Deutsche and Russian tourists can not understand with the staff . October the quay bar is not warking.Aquqpark not worked very often. A food-for terrible food in Turkish hotel i not eat. I was in other hotels, but Calista food really is not nice, nor varied. A eatingconcept is terrible_ Te beach is good. But the sea is not klear. From hotel provided transportation to the village and must hire a taxi which is expensive. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends and I went back there again.

“comfort and entertainment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

Me and my wife went to this hotel two times in 2011 - one week in april and five days for New year.
Hotel and amenities: the architecture and layout of this hotel is unusual - the hotel consists of a number of circular buildings, clustered around the main pool in the centre, without any straight line. The hotel’s private beach is large and clean. The rooms were clean and huge. The staff there spoke perfect English, were very warm and would do anything to help. Checking in and out was painless.
Food and beverages: The main restaurant had a medium variety of food of medium quality, but with a polite and friendly staff ; anyway, the food was a negative bubble for this excellent resort - they should change the cook.
Daily entertainment and night life: unfortunately, both times we were at this hotel in extraseason, but the daily and evening entertainment was nice; as an exception, in the new years eve night there was a lot of turkish music - too much, very loud, tasted only by their connationals - it was very unpleasant for foreigners; also they have 4 tennis courts, a jogging lane, a large indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, a very well equiped fitness room, so there are a lot of activities for your free time...
Overall, the Calista is a very enjoyable place to stay.

Room Tip: try to get a room in the main building by writing in advance to the reception

“Lovely Hotel, Shame about the entertainment & Guest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

We went to this hotel for 2 weeks in August. The hotel overall is big, clean and comfortable. The food is excellent (for an all-inclusive) so long as you don't ask for a fresh eggs to be cooked, anyone would have thought I'd just murdered the chef's mother after requesting one (sorry cook's mother). Frankly we didn't have a fault with the hotel however, the staff leave a lot to be desired with the except of Rapit (found in the bar) who was very obliging.

For us the problem we had was with the guests. OMG the Russians' (or whatever nationality they are) were a sight to be seen, it was like being in a hotel full of Eastern European porn stars who are stuck in the 1980's - men included. The entertainment was abysmal, pole dancing and podium dancing is not ideal for a hotel which promote's family entertainment, having said that the Russians did take there children to watch - very inappropriate. I should also mention the disco's at night go on until at least 2 am & are very, very loud.

This hotel could be 5* if the management were to implement the dress code, upgrade the entertainment to 5* not porn* standards, implement the NO children under 12 round the relax pool and teach the staff how to smile, unfortunately there is nothing which can be done about the manners of guest but the staff is another matter.

Overall go if you're over 30 & still wish to go on a 18 - 30's holiday. The rating I have given this hotel is for the hotel alone, plenty of potential. Oh and take Euro's not Turkish Lira.

Room Tip: Stay in the main building its furthest away from the Disco's (not far enough).
