We stayed at this hotel for few days and was vey nice. The hotel was clean, quite and closed to town. Nice breakfast!

We had a great one night stay in the Sol E Serra Golfe Hotel although it did look different to the picutre on the web site . The room was large and the receptionist was really helpful when we insisted on a double bed. He just raised his eyebrows and smiled. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Only one downfall, it was a very hot day so we went looking for the swimming pool, it was green with slime and it looked as though it had just been left full of water over the winter months. What a shame. Otherwise it was a very good stay.

To say 3* is an exaggeration, this is a simple hotel with an excellent location. Staff have had little or no training, management are indifferent to comments re golf- as stated before the golf course closed three years ago - now full of sheep.

We endorse all comments re restaurant, breakfast and evening meal were both indifferent.

Castelo de Vide is a pretty village but is dying due to exodus of young people.

We spent one night in this hotel on a round trip in Portugal (honeymoon). The hotel interior is a bit old fashioned, but everything is very well looked after. So, it doesn't give you the idea of being in an old hotel without any comfort at all. In contrast, it gives a certain type of charm to the hotel, which sometimes is lacking in modern hotels.

The rooms are nice. At first, we good a twin room (on our honeymoon). When we asked for another room, we immediately got another room. The reason why the initially put us in a twin bed room was because the view was better over there. We didn't care about the view as we were just spending one night over there. So we were very happy of the service by the staff.

We had dinner in the hotel, which was one of the best dinners on our trip. The other hotels had mostly buffet type dinners. This hotel served local dishes (à la carte) which were just great.
