“5 nights luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the park hyatt and it was in the main fantastic.
Our room was well furnished and we had lovely relaxing view of one of the lagons on the down side we were woken early in the morning 6.15am on day one and 7 am on our 4th morning by load music piped type music from the spa ( room 247) when we rung reception the response to our complaint was slow such a shame.

The breakfast was excellent with so much choice from eggs cooked how you wanted, fresh fruit, cold meats, breads (all baked in house) Indian selection the let goes on & on, and the coffee was pretty good too.

Evening food we found a little bit limited I think if We was here for 2 weeks we would get very bored of the selection, but we did like being able to order from any restaurant so one could have Italian and one indian. We did eat at palms one evening lovely setting and good food.

The beach is lovely and you can walk for miles a long the sand. There is a good selection of beach shacks with the Venus being the most popular.

If I went back to goa I would stay here again but would ask to be away from the spa due to the early wake up calls !!

“Not the real India but perfect nonetheless”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Stayed late September 2011 for one week after seeing the sights in Rajasthan / Tamil / Kerala

As our stay progressed the F&B outlets got busier & some were closed as they were booked out by conferences. In saying that, the staff were still fantastic and as the week wore on as soon as they spotted us they arranged our coffee order. The F & B staff were a real highlight and I really enjoyed chatting to them all. I felt the Reception staff could take a leaf out of their book as most of our issues came from this department.

The room was lovely, everything one needs except perhaps an umbrella which you need in the rainy season!! Umbrellas were scattered around the property, but I did feel it was up to housekeeping to see that there was one available. Our room was off to the far right of the property overlooking a pond & trees. Suited us perfectly as it was very quiet away from the hustle and bustle and from screaming children at the pool.

Spent many hours in the spa, the best deal was INR 10 000 (AUD $189) for 3 hrs of treatments of your choice, otherwise a 1hr massage will set you back INR 4000.

The property is great for a relaxing holiday, but most sights are a distance away & the requirement of hiring a taxi ( do this just outside the gate as the hotel arrangement is very expensive)

Recommended to a friend who took her family there in December 2011

“"Green acres" "On the Waterfront" !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Sorry, couldn't help insering two Hollywood favourites in the title!

Beautiful sprawling property in South Goa is perfect for those seeking a quiet getaway amidst luxurious surroundings. The property is very spread out and therefore you do not run in to the other guests, except during meals.Golf cart style buggies are available when you don't feel like (or are too high to) walk to / from the cottages.

The rooms, arranged in cottage style are reasonable size with a nice separate bath and dressing area.private balconies (big enough to actually sit in) look out on to green lawns, water bodies, and ,distantly, the sea.

As I was part of a marriage group, didn't get to try out the restaurants, but judging from the breakfast spread, the food should be good. This is important in South Goa, as unlike the North, there are no eateries in the neighbourhood. Good idea to carry your oun booze!

Billed as a resort and spa, it has all the ameneties for looking after your well being. The Gym is well equipped, the spa well attended and the swimming pool seems to meander throughout the centre of the property vis waterfalls, canals, etc.

The staff are very friendly as in most Goa hotels.

Well appointed rooms and fantastic pool. Big property so expect a long walk to beach and some restaurants. Well maintained gardens. Quite a drive from north goa for party seeking people. And also if you are looking for eat-outs away from the hotel.

“Excellent overall - particularly the service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

If you go for the standard rooms, you may have to watch the location, but most are great, tho some getting a little tired..
Superb gardens a huge area, and lovely beach. Pool area also very attractive with good level of service.
Staff really great.
A quiet part of Goa, but that limits local shopping options on foot if that matters.
Good bike hire just outside the gate of the hotel. £5 per day for scooters.
Breakfast offers great variety, western and indian options, but the location of the breakfast area makes it a bit of a walk through.
Spa area very smart and luxurious, but treatments expensive.
Bartons Restaurant just onto the main road is very good. Pentagon Restaurant at Mapusa beach is only a couple of miles away, and the outdoor part in particular is lovely.
Really lovely hotel but expensive, particularly for Goa.
