“A very personal service”

We have spend 3 nights at Eikendal during our 2-week trip in South Africa. It was our 2nd location and we knew straight away that all our other locations would have big problems in matching the overall feel of Eikendal. All the staff is really friendly and helpful, breakfast is excellent, lodge itself pretty, peaceful, clean and the garden is amazing. We had a beautiful view on the mountain range of Stellenbosch at the back. When we arrived late afternoon, they made already dinner reservations (since they don't service dinner and have a kitchen) and this was a big pleasant surprise. The dinner was really good (Longridge - wine estate, very close by). For our whole stay Leonie /Elsie made good recommendations for other dinner options. We went to De Oewer restaurant (beautiful next to the river) and to 96 Winery Rd. All in all it was really perfect. Our girl Babette of 17 months loved Jack the 'housedog' and they were all really flexible in arranging a sandwich or yoghurt for her in the afternoon or evening. Looking back we could have easy spend there 2 weeks! And if we would come back to the area, we would definitely come back to this lodge.

“Wine, Food and charming people”

My wife and I have been at Eikendal in January 2012.
What a great experience. A lodge in the middle of winyards with picturesque mountains in the backdraft.
A the short tour through the winery itself with a taste of an ultimately freshly pressed grape juice stayed in our memories.
The restaurant "Winery Road 96", that was suggested by Elsje was on of the best experiences of our whole trip. And last but of course not least the very nice, friendly and helpful people at Eikendal made our stay a remerkable one. Will definitely come back again. Guenther and Ksenia from Austria / Poland

“a wonderful stay in the winelands”

we spent a coup,e of days at eikendal lodge in jan 2012. it was a wonderful and relaxing stay.
leonie and elsje made our stay special and provided us with nothing but the best tips for lunch and dinner in the area. the service was outstanding and we can recommend eikendal lodge to everybody.

“Absolutely lovely!”

We stayed here two nights and absolutely loved this place. Friendly, personal, clean, luxurious and and absolutely perfect endong of our two weeks trip to SA. Fantastic breakfast. We will def return.

“Lovely stay in Eikendal”

We stayed four nights in Eikendal and enjoyed it very much. The rooms were luxury for us and the service extremely warm and friendly. We got good recommendations for the dinners and also help in transportation. The breakfast was fantastic.
