We (2 couples travelling together) stayed at the Blue Oyster B & B for 2 nights in early April. The B & B is located above the town of Knysna on the Garden Route. The two en-suite rooms that we booked had commanding views over the estuary and lovely balconies to appreciate this sight. Vanessa, the inn-keeper, and Charmaine her right-hand woman go out of their way to ensure that the B & B is kept immaculate, the breakfasts are delicious and tourist information is readily available. Thanks to them and their beautiful B & B for making our stay in Knysna such a first class experience. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer as their are so many interesting things to see and do around Knysna and this inn is perfectly situated for day trips.

Room tip: A car is very useful but there is an excellent taxi service to take you to and from the waterfront where the restos and stores are located. It is worth paying a little extra to say in the waterview suites. The views alone are stunning.

Fantastic B&B, wonderful relaxed atmosphere, made to feel so welcome by Vanessa and Charmaine. We stayed in the Mykonos room which is spotless, very spacious and has a wide balcony from which to soak in the view of Knysna lagoon and Heads, while of course enjoying a bottle of red from the well stocked honesty bar. Would have been rude not to! Vanessa was always on hand to give useful advice on places to visit and restaurants to try in Knysna. We had a fantastic 6 days and will be back one day for more. There is so much to see and try in the area, if you can do the 'swimming with seals' trip offered by Offshore Adventures, superb experience!

Room tip: We stayed in the Mykonos, a large spotless room with great view from balcony

The Blue Oyster is just perfect to see Knysna and also as a base for the surrounding Garden Route area. The view from our bedroom was fabulous, as was the view when sitting down to a great breakfast. Our host Vanessa gave us lots of tips on where to visit and some of the best places to have dinner. I can highly recommend staying at this lovely bed and breakfast.

We stayed here for one night in March, I wish it had been longer! Our room was large, clean and the bed very comfortable, and the view....amazing! Our host Vanessa was always available to provide local information.

The Blue Oyster in Knysna is the perfect location to get the most out of a visit to Knysna. It allows you an impressive overview of the location, right from your bedroom, offers you all possible comfort and hospitality, and provides you with an ideal base point for the many interesting attractions in the environment of Knysna.
