The hotel is really modern and comfortable and it's located in the Knysna waterfront area. It's possible to have dinner in one of the five different restaurants close to the hotel and after it's so nice to have a walk in the marina to see all the sailing boat going back from the ocean. The wireless connection is free, you only need to ask for the access details to the reception. The breakfast is amazing, I suggest the omelette. The only concern is related to the AC system, it was really noisy.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a 6 night journey along the Garden Route. We ended up wishing we hadn't stayed as long. The service left a lot to be desired and the breakfast was well below average. I had to go around looking for someone to cook eggs and when I did find someone, she started to fry the eggs and then walked away. We were never offered tea or coffee and again, had to struggle to get someone's attention to request it. The positives are good location, nice pool and free wifi.

This is a very adequate hotel in a really good location. The rooms are clean and are of good size. Unfortunately the service although friendly and pleasant was often disorganised. We had stayed here a few years ago and standards have slipped a bit since then.

I a frequent traveller in this area, i get to stay at many different hotels and guest house. Protea hotels have many locations around South Africa with different types of enviroments. when i booked in here yesterday with my group i was welcome by very pleasant staff, who had our room keys and a welcome drink all ready for us on arrival. i went up to my room to escape the January heat and found that my airconditioner had been switched on and it was cool and refreshing after a very hot day touring... nice touch. nicely laid out rooms and comfortable beds. breakfast was magic, you have a large variety of food on off, hot and cold. All I can stay to travellers from around the world.... you wont go wrong staying here. just one last thing.... restuarants are apleanty in the area for dinner as the hotel only serves breakfast.
