My family and I were thrilled with the 5 days we stayed at a De Waterkant Cottage (we were at 76 Waterkant). The location is fabulous -- it's in the De Waterkant neighborhood which feels like San Francisco -- hills, cobblestone streets, proximity of a fabulous waterfront, cafes, restaurants, night spots, elegant stores. The rooms in the "cottage" (better description: upscale modern townhouse on 3 levels with 2 terraces) were huge. The 4 of us always had plenty of space to be alone when we wanted to, as well as excellent spaces for togetherness. The kitchen was superbly equipped, and the furnishings and artwork throughout were both comfortable, stylist and whimsical. There was wi-fi (for an extra charge) and special deals for free nights during the South African winter. We loved being able to walk out and find a cafe, restaurant, ATM, supermarket, wine store, etc. within a 1-2 minute walk. It's 15 minutes walk to the V&A waterfront, and less than that to downtown. There's free parking on the street, What more can I say -- the beds were supremely comfortable. I give it a 100.
