Very conveniently located in a quality Cape Town neighborhood, 79 on Orange was a pleasure. The property is beautiful and comfortable, and it’s all about your hosts, Marc & Ivan. This property is their business, but it’s also their home. The furnishings have been lovingly collected over a lifetime, not gathered together all in one weekend for the purpose of opening of a B & B. During our stay there, I felt like I was at home. Plopped down on the couch with a book and my laptop and was quite comfortable there for an hour or two between city outings. Our room was fantastic. Spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was very tasty. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The outdoor patio/dining area on the property is a lush oasis in the city with views of Table Mountain. Marc & Ivan will chat with you at the kitchen island over a glass of wine and are happy to offer dining and sightseeing suggestions. You can feel good knowing you’re getting advice from locals, not tour guides. Staying at 79 on Orange was like staying with great relatives (or the great relatives you wish you had) – classy, comfortable, friendly, helpful people with a gorgeous home. Footnote - the pets are adorable and very well behaved. If you’re worried about this, don’t worry. They’re not in your room or underfoot – unless you encourage them to join you.

We had booked 3 rooms at the B&B during the world cup season and we were not disappointed! We were travelling in a party of 7 with different arrival times for some and all were met and looked after with great hospitality.

The location is fantastic with great views of table mountain on one side and easily accessible to the heart of the city. The B&B itself is very comfortable and wonderfully decorated. Room rates include a great breakfast and free Wi-Fi.

Marc and Ivan are happy to arrange things for guests and their recommendations on restaurants were top notch. They also have an agreement with a local taxi company that is professional and reasonably priced.

The only downside we experienced was the intermittent hot water supply. We were told that this was due to the world cup and the infrastructure in cape town not being able to accommodate so many tourists.

Delightful character accomadation. First class room. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Staff very eager to please.

The location of this B&B is fantastic. We stayed 2 nights at this place. We were welcomed and even offered tea and coffee despite arriving at 23:00 (last flight from Jo’burg). The décor in the rooms were fantastic. Marc and Ivan have amazing taste and were very warm hosts. They also have the most amazing sit out where we had our breakfast every morning. It felt like sitting right next to the table mountain and the view is simply fantastic. They also had fantastic people to who were warm and brought you a coffee or tea whenever you want one. When we come back to Cape Town – we will stay here. Thank you sooo much Marc and Ivan – we loved your place and enjoyed our experience in Cape Town.
