This hotel is perfect for the budget traveller as it's well positioned next to the shadow of Table Mountain, and only a 15min walk to the V&A waterfront to get a taxi costs around 30 or 40 rand about £4 which is quite cheap. The hotel will call one for you and it's there in a minute , nothing is too much trouble for the guys on the reception especialy Justin who helped me out with a small problem, they have all the information you need to get around I.E trips around Cape Town and even organise them for you. As for the rooms they are basic but comfortable, no tea or cofee facilites which would have been ok although they have this 24hrs next to the bar . As for the bar we found the prices very reasonable which was quite surprising , the resident barman Ayanda top bloke, always a smile and a laugh for everyone. If you are planning a trip up to Table Mountain it's best to check with reception as the cable car shuts at a moments notice at the sign of any wind , one phone call saves a wasted journey. As for the restaurant the food itself was pretty good with a mixed variety for everyone, the place was clean and the table sevice was good my only gripe was the breakfast buffet hotplates were not hot enough which resulted in the food being cold at times. My one main temporary complaint was we had to be there when there were two conference's taking place which resulted in a lot of alcohol fueled shouting screaming and door slamming late at night and early morning, which spoiled an other wise pleasant stay i did mention it to the management who promised to look into it. A night time curfew would be the answer, As for the location itself we found it very safe by day and night i only saw two beggers a polite no was enough for them, this hotel was also next to the shops and many restaurants just minutes away which was very handy . So give this hotel a chance you won't be disapointed.....
